Re: [Audyssey] Talking Dosbox games.

2016-08-17 Thread Josh Kennedy
i am also looking for a old but full copy of megaDots to use in talking
dosBox. well I don't really want to use it i just want to play around
with for old times sake. I already have turboBraille the only grade III
grade 3 braille translator in existance. but I do not have megaDots for
dos. I do not own an embosser. I just want to play with the old stuff to
remember my childhood. that's why I found wordPerfect 5.1 and put it in
there.

I was wondering a couple of things about this.
Where can I get a copy of this program?
Where can I get accessible games for it?

Thanks!

the games are already preloaded along with a demo of megaDots braille
translator and also wordPerfect 5.1 for dos also asap and jaws for dos
and flipper screen readers. you also get windows3.1 with a very old
window eyes demo, demos of keynote gold multimedia and keysoft. the
games are in the folder c:\games or just do

cd\games

then type

dir

to get a list of directories and stuff inside of them.

you can get lotus 123 version2 from www.uselesssoftware.com

note i cannot get pinochle from nfbnet.org/files/games to work
completely not sure why. to run lotus123 successfully, edit dosbox.conf
and change the following lines

ems=

xms=

umb=

change them to this

ems=true

xms=true

umb=true

then load or run lotus like this

cd\123

loadhigh 123

it works good with asap.

ok you can get talking dosbox from:

http://batsupport.com/unsupported/dosbox/talking_dosbox_Win3.1_Keynote_Keysoft.zip

you need NVDA. you put NVDA to sleep control insert s desktop layout or
capslock shift z laptop layout when using talking dosbox with the asap
screen reader.
