Re: [Audyssey] bg uno question
Hi mark I answered him as I did, because all games come with a readme and I get hundreds of emails daily asking questions that has answers people probably are to lazy to look for. For most games: If the f1 key didn't bring up the readme, looking in the program directory where the game is installed will also yield a readme for most games, which contains all information. for uno both would have worked. No offence ment, but if people decide to take offence and wake up to look for answers themselves, fine by me. - Original Message - From: mark bishop [EMAIL PROTECTED] To: Gamers Discussion list gamers@audyssey.org Sent: Tuesday, September 18, 2007 2:43 PM Subject: Re: [Audyssey] bg uno question I thought this answer although correct was a little too abrupt, bordering on rude. - Original Message - From: Willem [EMAIL PROTECTED] To: Gamers Discussion list gamers@audyssey.org Sent: Monday, September 17, 2007 11:08 AM Subject: Re: [Audyssey] bg uno question you press enter just after you played your second last card. Re: [Audyssey] bg uno question
I can respect what you say, and if one is real familiar with programs, this may come second nature. In this case I did know the answer, but in the past there have been times, when I wanted to play a game or try a new program, but was not familiar with all the menus and options for trying to figure it out myself, so I asked. I and others appreciate a confirmed answer in our lack of confidence. Thanks for your input, I am sure you have helped many over time. - Original Message - From: Willem [EMAIL PROTECTED] To: Gamers Discussion list gamers@audyssey.org Sent: Tuesday, September 18, 2007 7:46 AM Subject: Re: [Audyssey] bg uno question Hi mark I answered him as I did, because all games come with a readme and I get hundreds of emails daily asking questions that has answers people probably are to lazy to look for. Hi. As with all the bg games, you can display the help by pressing F1 in the game then reading with your screen reader. Re: [Audyssey] BG Uno
Yeah, I just had to ask him for it and now I had to provide an alternate email address for him to send to, since GMail accounts bounce executables and zipped/compressed files back to the original sender--in this case, Ian Humfreys. On 9/9/07, Phil Vlasak [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote: Hi Folks, I just got BG Uno from Ian this morning as an attached zip file. Ian Humphreys' Spoonbill Software, Blind-gamers series. Home of Blind-gamers Uno, BG Uno for short, an accessible version of the popular card game, Uno. It uses SAPI 5 for the voice and you play against 3 computer players. I did not know how to play Uno, so I found instruction on a Uno Wiki: The Uno deck consists of cards of 4 colors: red, green, blue, and yellow. The values in each color are 0-9. There are 3 honor cards in each color, labeled skip, draw two, and reverse. There are special black cards, wild and wild draw four. Seven cards are dealt to each player, and the top card of the stock is exposed to start the discard pile. If the exposed card has a special ability, it is treated as if the dealer played that card, and the special effect occurs, skip, draw two, reverse, or wild). At each turn, a player may play a card from their hand that matches the color or rank of the top exposed card, or play a wild or wild draw four. If a player has no legal card to play, that player draws the top card of the stock, and may either play it or place it in their hand. After playing a single card or drawing, the next player clockwise takes a turn, unless a reverse is in effect. The hand ends when a player plays all their cards. [Audyssey] BG Uno
Hi Folks, I just got BG Uno from Ian this morning as an attached zip file. If a player has no legal card to play, that player draws the top card of the stock, and may either play it or place it in their hand. what if ian made a poker card game? On 9/9/07, Dark [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote: I agree. like the cribbage game it reminds me of my gran, who was the first person I played cards with when I was about 6 or 7, as well as rummy, cribbage and thirty ones, she used to play a very similar game called twos with my brother and I, though that involved conventional playing cards. As well as the ace acting as a wild card, and kings skipping, there was an interesting rule where by if you had a 2, and someone attempted to play a 2 at you (making you draw 2 cards), the next person would have to draw 4 cards, and if they had a 2, the following person would have to draw 6. this used to lead to some interesting grudge matches with my brother. Waiting for my copy. Remember to vote for games that Ian can work on for us. For I like to see more votes for Euker. So plase vote on his site for this game. Blind Guy if you want Poker type of game submit it to the growing list of games has in his voting page. MasterMind in development. There has been others done and it be nice to see this game be included to his portfolio. I hope and please send him feed back on this as well. I like to se the game have anoption for Super master mind. Once thing that I think Ian will include is his scoring summary like his card games, so also let him know it should be included. I also requsted the game have a two real player mode so it can be played in a voice chat room. Never hurts to ask, smiles.
