I agree. Yet there are people banning this and that game because they think its the game. Even if its got warnings on it underagee people may still buy or if not be allowed to buy find the game or whatever at home the law doesn't protect from that. And to be honest I think we are being to correct with our laws. We can't just bann every drug, game etc because we suppose its bad. Yes the thing in question while banned is the easy way out so yeah I see why we as humans do it. Because of that reason. Its always never worked fully. Hi, For what it is worth that is why I am against banning stuff be it drugs, a game, movies, etc. It seems the minute someone steps in says this is wrong, takes it away from the public, bans it, there are always someone out there who will want to try it just because it is illegal or considered socially taboo. Banning something usually does not work because it fails to eliminate the desire for that product or behavior. It is only when we as a society find a way to help people overcome their desires for certain products that we can eliminate the problems that such products cause. Cheers! To be honest Charlse I do think your being harsh, but not because of what you say about games, simply because we have no information about these mythical people who committed suicide over dD. Suicide is pretty drastic and a person needs to be in a fairly extreme position to contemplate it seriously, and the same arguemenet could be made for murder. If some mythical DD player did commit suicide or murder, I'd wager there was rather more going on and a rather more complex reason involved than just because of DD That is why I mentioned DD being a social activity sinse a lot of causes for that sort of action tend to be about people's interactions. I'd suggest myself that if a DD player did! commit suicide, those who ascribe DD as a single cause are over simplifying in the extreme, like those people who blaime all society's problems on alcohol, or comunism, or tv, or insert favourite bad influence. Indeed, sinse all of this sounds pretty speculatory anyway I'm not entirely sure myself if this isn't scare mongering anyway. Beware the grue! Dark.
