Re: [Audyssey] ps1 and ps2 game collection

2008-07-03 Thread Thomas Ward

Hi Michael,
It has been my experience if you want to Play PSP and PS2 games it
involves quite a bit of memorisation. Playing sighted games like that
isn't impossible, but not instantly accessible. Takes a lot of trial and
error, or a nice walkthrough to tell you where everything is. Fighting
games are more or less accessible because the focus is on hand to hand
combat.
For example, if you can memorise the menus, how to do certain moves, and
identify what sounds means what then you can do pretty well in the WWE
Smackdown VS Raw games. I'm not real good at it myself, but I have heard
Bryan play it on his web site so I have a good idea of what is possible
if you have the patients to sit down and play with the game.

Agree with Tom in every respect. Fighting games are the more popular type,
however there are also other games that simply require patience to wander
around to find enemies to kill. 300: march to glory, and devil kings spring
to mind. Both consist of a map where you basically just eliminate everything
in site while trying to accomplish minor things like kill certain people or
simply clear the stage.

I agree. The announcer's voice could get annoying though. I wonder if it was
a synthesizer.

Masters of Teras Kasi? I used to have that one. It was pretty cool but
 the
SFX could definitely have been done better. I'd never heard a Lightsaber
sound so monotonouss before I played Teras Kasi. It was cool to be able
 to
play as Mara Jade though. She had some pretty neat attacks.

Re: [Audyssey] ps1 and ps2 game collection

2008-06-24 Thread constantine (on laptop)
I recommend tekken and tekken 4 for the ps2. I also recommend mk trilligy
for the ps1, and if you can get it, mk 3. I haven't played bloody roar, but
it sounds good, I like the idea as fighting as a tiger for a bit rather fun
(if I have a bad day at school I can just plug that game in and roar out my
frustrations, literally and figuratively).

As far as mortal kombat goes, my favorite character would be nightwolf (he
just sounds cool!) and, when I watched the second mortal kombat movie, I
thought he sounded tough.

Don't ask me why, I just think he was, and stil is, one of the coolest
characters.

Have a good day from Tyler C. Wood!
