[Audyssey] Swamp map editor question

2016-08-09 Thread loriduncan
Hi everyone, I've just created a small test map in the Swamp map editor. It
lodes fine in the editor, but when I try to launch it in offline mode and
try to move nothing happens. It says no data for your current location and
there's no sounds or anything. I also keep getting this error when in the
editor.

Call stack size: 1

Function: void main()

I've no clue what it means, so hopefully someone can help. I'm not sure why
the actual swamp client isn't liking my map, I've never had any trouble in
the past.
From Lori.

[Audyssey] Swamp map editor

2012-12-20 Thread Lori Duncan
Hi everyone, I've started using the Swamp map editor, but am having problems
loading maps from the main menu. When I enter the name of the map I get an
error saying "test map doesn't exist", and also when I load a map through swamp
itself in offline mode, it loads perfectly, but I am unable to walk around when
I hit the mouse. Weapons seem to work, and the map is only 2 rooms at the
moment, a safezone and a wasteland which leads outside. I know all my maps are
saving because they show up in the maps folder in swamp, but they won't load
through the editor so I can continue my work. If anyone else uses the editor,
could they please give me some help and maybe tell me where I'm going wrong.
Many thanks from Lori.

HI,

I have Aprone's early map editor and a mp3 file talking about it. But I
think there was another one released a lot better, but dont' seem to have
it. If you want this early version, the download link is

http://dl.dropbox.com/u/13968355/Swamp%20Editor.zip

This editor is not blind friendly. Haven't had a chance to test it out.

What happened to the swamp map editor/creator?
I can't seem to locate it, and I'm trying to find it for myself as
well as a friend.

[Audyssey] Swamp map editor

2011-12-18 Thread Jeremy Kaldobsky
Hey guys, I think last week I posted about this but I hadn't really put it all
together yet. I've had some emails asking for the Swamp map editor and even
though it isn't accessible, at least one of those people said they could get
sighted assistance quite easily. So for any who are willing to give the
inaccessible map editor a try, here it is along with an audio walk through
explaining how it works. I believe the reason for asking for this map editor,
was to work on some maps to send to me so that I might save a little time in
that department.

If you had grabbed the files from last week, grab the again because I had
forgotten to include a file.

www.kaldobsky.com/audiogames/SwampEditor.zip

I think the walk through will explain things well enough, but in case it is
useful I have included sample maps to give you an idea of scale and layout.
The next posted version of Swamp will have a choice to load in sample maps that
you're working on with the editor. There won't be zombies in them, but it will
let you get a better feel for them as they are being designed.

Sometime down the road I hope to build an accessible map editor, but for now
this one will have to do.

2011-12-13 Thread Jeremy Kaldobsky
Yes I do hope to eventually make the map editor accessible, though I still
don't know how I will manage that. There are a lot of things to do, and almost
all of them are represented graphically at the moment. I think releasing it
even in its current version will only help motivate me to make it more
accessible.

Are we also going to have an accessible map editor? I do think it'd be a
good idea, reminds me how I played around with Agrip's Quake map maker.
I even thought I lost my map which I made, only to discover it
circulating on a very busy server. Good times indeed.

be anytime soon that I can have the walk through recorded. For anyone
adventurous enough, and who has sighted assistance, here is the map editor.

The other thing I planned to do was to send along a modified version of Swamp
that would let you actually play your custom maps so you could test how they
were coming together. So on top of everything else that seems crazy with me
posting this editor, I'm letting you all know that you won't even be able to
play your custom maps yet! Haha!

As soon as I get time though, that's the first thing I'll post, and I'll try to
get a recording done to explain things. Eventually, having a few volunteers to
work on maps could be a good time saver for me. I'd type more but I have to
run!

We all appreciate that you're busy.
Nobody, I think, could hold a
tremendously busy schedule against you. I know I don't.
