Re: [Audyssey] swamp off center and blue language
I have noticed that the aim point seems to change from time to time, and have likewise attributed it to ear balance, except that it also seems to change from weapon to weapon from what I call medium range out. (medium = about longest range for the shotgun weapons.) Re: [Audyssey] swamp off center and blue language
Che I totally agree. As most people know, I rarely have time to actually play Swamp so I tend to miss out on certain perspectives of the game. After reading this email I went to the server, skimmed through the chat log, and for the first time am seeing just how profane some of the chat is. I hadn't considered this, and I suppose it was naive of me to expect everyone to just automatically take the high road and keep the language appropriate for the many age groups that are likely playing. I think I'll add in some rules for the next version, so that the main channels will remain PG in nature. I also worry that the strong language will immediately turn some people off to the game. To avoid being naive once again, should I expect some people to ignore the rules and just continue swearing in those channels? If so, then I'll need to program in some admin commands and grant those powers to a few individuals that would be willing to police the chat channels for foul language or mature content. If people are more likely to just follow the rules I set, then I won't bother with this extra work. hey gang, At what number of kills do you officially have a swamp problem? 3000, 5000? agreed on both counts there che!! especially when using the snipper rifle, the off center aiming success becomes more noticeable - Original Message - From: Che blindadrenal...@gmail.com To: Gamers Discussion list gamers@audyssey.org Sent: Thursday, December 15, 2011 12:45 PM Subject: [Audyssey] swamp off center and blue language hey gang, At what number of kills do you officially have a swamp problem? 3000, 5000? Re: [Audyssey] swamp off center and blue language
I do drop the occasional profane explosion on that channel. It's a part of my roleplay with a particular character, and I'll try not to let it get too bad, although usually I avoid F-bombs and always avoid GD-nukes. Still, I'll try to limit that particular character's explitive explosives. As for the off-center thing, I have to readjust occasionally, which is a pain with a long-range character, because the aiming will shift, but usually mine shifts so that I have to aim a little left of center. I don't know what would cause it, but I usually just try to make it ok.
