I was wondering if there is a way to check how many rocks and shields Q9
has,  appologies if I just happen to have missed it, it doesn't seem
to be in the manual, and none of the obvious keys I tried like A for amo
seemed to work.

If it is not possible to check this,  is there any chance it could
also be added in a miner version upgrade,  sinse I would guess that 
it

is also not a major feature like adding teleporting monsters was.

Of course, if it's already in the game and my brain has just temporarily
stopped functioning (assuming it was ever functioning to begin
with), -  appologies!

Hi Dark,
Yes, it is possible. It works exactly the same way MOTA does. If you 
want to know how many rocks you have press 2 for slingshot, and then a 
for ammo. For shields press 3 for shields, and press a for ammo. If the 
club is selected it says nothing.

Ah, that explains it, i expected it to work the same way something like 
troopanum does where you can press one key and get a full report of amo for 
all items.

rather assumed sinse the game had only two weapons amo counts would be 
spoken together,  as in troopanum,  obviously I was wrong.

Yes, Shades of Doom and Tank Commander both do. It is pretty much an 
unspoken standard in audio game development. That the a command speaks 
the ammo for the current item or weapon.

Technically there are three weapons with ammo, but of course the third one 
is a cheat. I only adopted this method as it enables me to easily add and 
integrate new weapons in the future should I want to.

Fair enough philip,  and that does make sense.

perhaps a key bto list amo for all weapons might be nice at some point,   
so that you can better plan whether to use a deus shield or not,  but 
only if you get around to it.


Btw, I thought weapon number four had unlimited amo, - or at least I ran 
through the entire game with it and didn't need any extra.

Apologies if i'm getting to this a little later than I would like.


From the manual, section 4:
You are automatically equipped with the club from the beginning. To change 
weapon, use the number keys 1, 2 and 3. 1 is the Large wooden club, 2 is the
slingshot and 3 is the Deus Shield. ... You may also press the alt key to 
quickly switch between the weapons, which is good when you are hard pressed 
in a battle and need to activate a Deus Shield

at lightning speed for example.
To hear how much ammunition you have left for a particular weapon, select it 
either with one of the number keys or the alt key and then press A.

In my previously loaded versions, the a would give the number of rocks or 
shields remaining.  No need to check ammo when clubbing, because there isn't 
any.  (grin)

I was wondering if there is a way to check how many rocks and shields Q9
has,  appologies if I just happen to have missed it, it doesn't seem to
be in the manual, and none of the obvious keys I tried like A for amo seemed
to work.

If it is not possible to check this,  is there any chance it could also
be added in a miner version upgrade,  sinse I would guess that it is
also not a major feature like adding teleporting monsters was.

Of course, if it's already in the game and my brain has just temporarily
stopped functioning (assuming it was ever functioning to begin with), -
