Re: [Audyssey] fs2002?

2009-08-03 Thread Thomas Ward

Hi Josh,
Actually, I recommend you obtain FS 2004 as it is more accessible. If
you get Its Your Plane you will be able to use FS 2004 by verbally
issuing commands to FS.

unfortunetly, it is. The chat room would not have been conducive to

I shall try to answer as many questions as I think would come up in

Thanks for all your thoughts Shaun.
I totally agree with you.
Ok, we’re totally recording it and putting it up on BCT.
That’s a must. If we do it as some sort of live stream, I don’t want
people who weren’t able to make it not being able to gain axcess to
the information.
As far as making it in to several parts, really, all we need to do is
demonstrate the flying aspect of it. We might also go over some
commonly used terms, teach the language of aviation.
Really, that wouldn’t take long.
So I think we’re gonna stick with one part. But a lot of our method of
doing flight sim is self-explanitory, and everyone is totally more
then welcome to send any questions to me or skype me.
I’ll keep the list updated.
Best,

I am just wondering if I've missed Neil's podcast on the way he has made
the Microsoft Flight Simulator 2002 accessible because I have been away for

a few days, and when I checked my backlog of email messages, I didn't see
anything about that.

 Thanks

2008-10-23 Thread Thomas Ward
Hi Lindsay,
I'm sorry to hear that. If you would like I can zip disk number 2 for
FS 2002, and send it to you so you can reburn a new disk. It is
probably near the edge of software piracy, but since you already own
the game I guess sending you a replacement disk should be sort of
legal.
Cheers.

oh man!
well you can always download an iso of it, I presume you have a registration
code, so you could do that.
Or you can ask someone that has the disks that doesn't want them to give you a
copy.
or you can ask someone to iso the disks and keep backups of the isos.

Hi, well, you press the f9 key to get in to FS Navigater, then you go over
to the map tab and you use the jaws cursor to get over to it and then you
click on it by using the left mousebutton to enter the new flight plan.
if you already have a flightplan created in FS Navigater, simply do shift+f9
and let FS navigater take over and you don't need to do anything.
I hope this helps you.

Hiya,
I've recently got my hands on FS 2002, and I really enjoy it thus far.
I've been taught the rudaments of how to fly, plan routes, etc.
I do have one persistent problem, though. I'm not quite sure how to
handle air traffic control. I've read the manual, but don't know for sure
how I can access the ATC menu, which is apparently a transparent window,
whatever that means. As a result, I can't ask for takeoff clearance, and if
I take off without it the controller tends to get a bit miffed. I know that
the menu changes dynamically and such, but I'm just not sure how to know
which buttons do what.
Any advice would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Zack.

Scott:

What manual is the beginner guide to flying? What is the file name?? I have
the program but trying to run it on vista. It is a lot harder.

When I first tried to run the game I got a error about accelerator and the
game had to start in safe mode. If I unloaded aws and loaded narrator it
wold work perfectly.

I ran the dxdiag in run command and got that some of the 3g draw was not
available and one other of the direct x features were available.

Again when I tried with narrator it worked perfectly. I agree there is a lot
of reading that has to be done and I can't play with the fs navigator yet
for I have no voice that can read the screens.

I need suggestions on how I can fix this problem or can it be fixed inside
of vista?

stock DirectX 10 that ships with Vista, or have you installed a DirectX

Okay, I've managed to get these files from wagner as my attempts to get

for fsnavigator. Its an adobe file that is part of the main installation.
In reference to the other message sent to the list about the necessary
components, I've gotten the fsnavigator, pm sounds pluggin, the FSUIPC
pluggin and fs2002 to work reasonably well with jfw 8.0. That having been
said. I'll forewarn you now that if that window that holds fsnavigator
gets

supposed to cost about $45.00 U.S. currency. Once the pluggin is

I've found the unlocked features to be quite worth it. I will recommend
however, that if your going to try to use this thing, that you be really
good at keyboard reassignments as keyboard use to attempt to fly the
aircraft can and certainly will interfere with jfw operation. I'll also
forewarn you that I've had to read a good majority of the beginners guide
to
flying handbook, whitch is about 183 pages in adobe format. And a 75 page
air traffic control guide. You will not, get this up and running within
five minutes and be able to play it as a game. If your going to enjoy
this,
you need to approach it as an aviation enthusiast. I also recommend the
use
of a joystick for easier control over the aircraft. I don't have one and
I'm really wishing I had one now. I've done a few autopilot runs with
bigger aircraft with reasonable success. If there is a definite interest,

Hi Michael,
Possably. Which version of DirectX are you running. Are you running the
stock DirectX 10 that ships with Vista, or have you installed a DirectX
9.0C side by side install with DirectX 10 for backwards compatibility?

When I first tried to run the game I got a error about accelerator and the
game had to start in safe mode. If I unloaded aws and loaded narrator it
 wold work perfectly.

I ran the dxdiag in run command and got that some of the 3g draw was not
available and one other of the direct x features were available.

Again when I tried with narrator it worked perfectly. I agree there is a
lot
of reading that has to be done and I can't play with the fs navigator yet
for I have no voice that can read the screens.

I need suggestions on how I can fix this problem or can it be fixed inside
 of vista?

Re: [Audyssey] fs2002 with fsnavigator and jfw slightly long

2007-09-04 Thread Michael Maslo
Hi list:

Just wanted to make everyone aware that if you have jaws or window eyes and
vista you are unable to play fs 2002 while it is loaded. It is quite weird
but as I understand it from windows eyes and freedom scientific the mirror
part of the operating system disables features of the video card in order to
read.

In other words only play with windows xp.

Thank goodness I have a system with XP on it.

I play with narrator but unfortunately it does not read well. I will
hopefully have it up by next week and I can play. I keep crashing with the
lesson part because I can't see the heights etc.
