Hi Darren. well the last update was another bug fix, but I know for a fact niels is working on new additions to the game. I discussed some new additions for gameplay with him, both small and large, but whether they'll make it into a conventional update or be part of a new addon (one of them involved a totally new activity), we'll see. I don't want to say too much hear since obviously it's niels who is programming the game and I was only discussing ideas but I am certain we haven't seen the end of developement in s5 by a long way. The only thing I'm sad about is that empires and dungeons 2 didn't get the interest for the accessible version. While I can understand people not wanting to actually pay money for an inaccessible game in the hopes of getting an accessible one which really wasn't a good stratogy on the developers part I admit, (albeit niels did give me a complete refund), I do think the community could've done a better job in terms of telling the developer that people would! buy the game were the access additions made. People hear always complain of lack of complex accessible rpgs and stratogy games, but I was quite disappointed that when push came to shove and there was! a developer willing to make the effort if there was enough interest, people weren't prepared to step forward and put their money, or even the promise of their money where there mouth was. the last thing I heard from neil was the beginning of this year. there have been some updates, and a few bugs fixed mostly missing files. right now I have reported but have not got a responce to a bug where if you need to find anything in a sun you won't be able to find a sun, go to a sun or anything unless you leave the system, travel round for a couple moves then come back. thats a pain. well dark I tried to get neils to put more music and sound in the game however due to the limits of the sound engine and insoficient funding right now and other things he is not ready to upgrade it yet. I was hoping for more than music, ambiences for every planet items, etc, every gun to have a sound, different buttons and other things, etc and different music for each mission and battle as well as generic planet and battle music, event suspence tracks and a few other things come to mind. Neils said he was not able to do all I ask but that he'd think of some of it. Hi Darren. well i will admit one idea I did put forward to niels was an exploration system where by you could participate in colonizing new starsystems and planets for your faction. he liked the idea but thought it might take a full addon since it was essentially a quite new activity for the game and would require new ships, missions etc, however he did promise some exciting updates to the game so hopefully we'll be seeing some new content soon. well if you are registered you will get updates. if you don't get them or if you lost them the neilsbauer site should have updates in it I forget where there is a patches link in downloads I think.
