Re: [Audyssey] Help with Soccer Boss

2006-11-28 Thread Ari
Hi Ian,
If you want to be a manager in the Premiership or manage a top club, you
have to pay. After 20 days if you still want to play, you can, but you will
be put in charge of a club from a lower division.
By the way, what's happened to you in Battrick! I've tried about three times
to arrange a friendly with you, but am getting no response. Do you have a
hattrick account? Have you got some tips about how to actually sort out the
squad, it's hard playing!

Subject: [Audyssey] Help with Soccer Boss

 Hi Guys,
Could someone who loves soccer also look at
 http://www.tacticalmanager.co.uk/soccerboss/index.php
and maybe give me some advice on how do I show more sessions? Never mind
if you're not understanding what I'm talking about, when you register
you'll see what I mean. Since I've never played it, I've got no clue
really how accessible it is. The great thing is that it uses real players.
What's also very fun about this game is that it's not really about your
club, it's more about you as a manager in the real world, since one club
can decide to sack you if you're not performing well, and then you have to
look for another club to manage, so you really have to make tough
decisions so that you don't lose your job!
 And what's embarrassing?
When you get sacked, it's anounced on the News site!
But, as I said, I still can't play because I can't get it to display more
sessions from 7 upwards, I don't know if you need sighted help if it's
some funny control you click on or what the trick is, since clicking
next or index or even more free sessions isn't helping.
I've emailed the webmaster, but have had no response.

[Audyssey] Hattrick problem

2006-11-28 Thread Ari
Hi all,
How do I set orders in Hattrick, as the combo boxes are not even like Battrick,
you can hardly even use the alt up and down stuff with these ones.
I really think, that if other people would help me, we should send a petition
to Hattrick to see if they can't make their site a bit more accessible, as it
refreshes so often, orders seem very hard to set, for me it is really quite
difficult. Has anyone else got ideas of how to use the site and set orders?

Hello Cary. The pins are totally random. Even if by some chance your
pins are all on let's say alley 1,2,3,4, and 5. Your apponent's pins
still might be on those. So, in other words, the placement of your pins
is regardless of the placement of the apponent's pins. Otherwise you
would automatically know where the pins are based on the location of
 your own.

 Hello Ken.

You say it says the registration code is too long? i've not heard of that
one. I didn't think with Vip gameszone games there was an actual box to
type the registration code in, you need the code on the windows clipboard
before you click the Register button, as well as needing to be connected
to the e net so the Vip gameszone server can do it's thing.

Just find the Temporary product Id in the documentation, select all of
that line with shift up or down arrow, copy or cut the text, (ctrl c or
X), then open the registration program and click register. If your online
at this moment this should register the game successfully in Demo mode.

Obviously, if you decide to buy the game you'll need to repeat the process
with the registration code Vip gamezone send you.

Hi Shaun,

Snip
the vista interface if thats like ie7 with toolbars that can't turn
off and search
boxes that are core components, I wouldn't upgrade, I'd rather get xp...
End Snip

You are getting the point. The Vista interface is basically a fully
integrated Internet Exploder 7 which is which is a fully integrated core
part of the operating system. Somehow that seams like a violation of the
Netscape case, but we are talking Microsoft.

Snip
I also can't afford the large memmory and other things I'd need for
systems to run
vista, the 512mb ram system will not cut it and the 1gb minimum is
reported as just
cutting it.
End Snip

That is also true. I generally follow the rule of double what ever
Microsoft says the requirement is. If they say 512 MB. give it 1024
which is a GB. of ram. If they say 1 GHZ processor give it 2 to b safe.
The main reason is that those requirements Microsoft gives are
technically true, it will run, but it will not run well or be practical.

 Hi Shaun,
Yeah, with sp3 for XP on the way and someday perhaps a sp4 XP should
still have quite a bit of life in it.

Re: [Audyssey] Gaming on Windows Vista?

2006-11-28 Thread shaun everiss
This ofcause puts the question why ms is releasing vista at all when there are
2 more or at least 1 definate service pack of xp coming.
This should give everyone time to adapt to vista, who knows maybe we will be
passed vista by then.
Maybe someone will find ways to make the more anoying features of vista go away.
I wander what powertoys will be for vista, since every os so far has powertoys
and sometimes kernal toys.
I know sink toy is going to vista, maybe tweakui I only use the old control
panel ui as its all I need.
Think I better stop straying.

Re: [Audyssey] Gaming on Windows Vista?

2006-11-28 Thread Raul A. Gallegos
The answer is simple. MS is doing what it always has. Look at the
current Windows. XP has been out for some time now, yet there were still
service packs for Windows 2k which in many ways was even more stable
than XP itself.

Releasing Vista is no different. MS will support XP for a while yet and
continue to improve upon it. Eventually Windows 2k support will drop and
then XP. By then the next encarnation of Windows will be out I'm sure.

[Audyssey] mutant humans

2006-11-28 Thread Nicol Oosthuizen

NB: This email and its contents are subject to our email legal notice
which can be viewed at http://www.sars.gov.za/Email_Disclaimer.pdf

HI all
I'm very excited. I haven't yet ordered sod. First I have to download
the demo and then copy the product ID before I can order it. I'm very
excited to get this game as a birthday present. By listening to the
sound of the mutant human while playing the demo of version 1.0 it
brought something to my mind which I would like to share with you guys.
Its not my intention to post off-topic, mods. I think this is relating
to gaming.
How many of you know the bible? It's a book used by Christians, its
god's word. I'm a zealous reader of the bible and I can't post this on
a Christian list such as masters list or e-mail ministry because they
don't know sod so they won't be able to give their opinions, they will
not be able to agree or differ from me.
Those of you who read the bible: I would like your opinion on this.
Can you remember the account in the bible where king Nebuchadnezzar was
punished? His intellect was taken away from him; he lived like an
animal in the wilderness because he was too proud of himself. The bible
says: he was wettend by the dew, he ate plants like an animal.
The bible doesn't say in which shape he was when he lived in the
wilderness.
I think he retained his human body. God only took away his intellect. He
still had the same human body. I think God didn't even add the skin of
a wild animal such as a lion to his body. I think he retained exactly
his same human flesh. He didn't ware any clothes, he was a naked wild
human without intellect living like a beast in the wilderness. Can
you imagine a human, with exactly the same flesh as us civilized humans,
making the sound of the mutant human and living like a beast? Can you
see this in your imagination? King Nebuchadnezzar couldn't talk like
normal humans do. So I think he was a mutant human in the wilderness. I
think he made the same sound when wandering in the wilderness. The same
mutant human sound as in sod.
If God took away his intellect, it means that god took away his ability
to talk like a civilized human would talk. So that's why I think he made
the same sound as the mutant human in sod. Imagine this human without
intellect wandering about in the forest. All the animals heard this
mutant human sound, they see this wild, unintelectual human. Probably
they got frightened when they encounter a human living like an animal.
A wild human living like a beast, only roaring, not talking like a
civilized human. Its very interesting that David choose one of the
monsters in sod to be a mutant human. When I'm on my way home from
work and I hold on to the guy's shoulder who's accompanying me to the
car, I see this in my imagination. A male human walking about in the
sod complex, only making this sound, not speaking.
Where does the sound of the mutant human come from? I mean, was it a
person who did a voice over in the game who made the sound of the
mutant human with his mouth or did David got the sound from another
external source?
Say for instance david plans a future major release of sod. Do you guys
think he will then also include a female mutant human? How will the
sound of a female mutant human sounds like.
