Yeah, I agree. If there is no penalty for taking a dive, then soon players will 
be doing it all the time. (Soccer, anyone?) If tried unsuccessfully during the 
game, it should be unsportsmanlike conduct. If it works and a player is 
ejected, but is seen later clearly to be a performance, the player taking the 
dive should be suspended for the next game. Either that or make it reviewable 
during the game by replay officials and still eject the perpetrator. I don't 
know... they can work it out. It's not like it changed this game, but it's a 
very bad incentive for players to have nothing to lose by trying, but 
everything to gain.

Coach was asked about this in his press conference… He looked over to his right 
and asked if they've heard anything back from the SEC officiating office yet? 
He said he wasn't aware of the protocol nor how long it would take to get a 
reply back.  The bottom line is that they have submitted a request for them to 
review it of some kind.  Don't know the process that this goes through?

I also believe the other player should be suspended to set an example. That was 
shameless and anyone who says I’m crying sour grapes because that’s the way the 
game is played doesn’t know how it is played and is a jerk.

be doing it all the time. (Soccer, anyone?) If tried unsuccessfully during the 
game, it should be unsportsmanlike conduct. If it works and a player is 
ejected, but is seen later clearly to be a performance, the player taking the 
dive should be suspended for the next game. Either that or make it reviewable 
during the game by replay officials and still eject the perpetrator. I don't 
know... they can work it out. It's not like it changed this game, but it's a 
very bad incentive for players to have nothing to lose by trying, but 
everything to gain.

No. Vols player Rahsaan Gaulden took an award winning performance dive when 
Powell barely touched him.  You can google Powell ejected and find the video of 
it. The consequence is that he has to sit the first half of the next game.
