Maybe you have something that i can use (or a method to achieve this) ?

[pix_coordinate] (which should really be called [tex_coordinate])?

Yep, i know this (and maybe [tex_coordinate] is the right name).
But I was looking for a ready-to-use solution to create words on the fly.
However, do you know a good solution to make good font map under Linux ?
Now, i wonder if it would be possible to use VOB to record a set of font ?

the abstraction i send you was mean to do that.
Yes, it does.

OK, thanx for the info. ;)

Now, i wonder if it would be possible to use VOB to record a set of
 font ?
yep, but i think it's easier to use display list and text /text3d object.
OK, but it would be nice to have a tool like this. VBO is faster than
display list. We need a tool to extract font information for VBO !

 really?

The both are server side, but with VBO you can update value for one
vertex (that's why it is faster than display list).
But i have to admit this is not important for my font problem, i will
not get gain in term of performance :)

So you are right, it will be simpler with display list, i give it a try
today.
Thanx.

Re: [GEM-dev] Can't create object [pix_multitexture]

2012-04-17 Thread Cyrille Henry

aren't textunit hardware limited?
i think on my GPU a shader does not have acces to more than 8 diferent texture.

but you can create an image that contain all letter, and use pix_coordinate (or
a shader) to switch between them .

cheers
