Thanks for the idea though. Well, what do you know? My arrow buttons have just come back. The only relevant thing I've emerged today is x11-libs/gtk+-2.22.1-r1. I think that's where I smell a rat. It hasn't helped with my KDM problem though. -- Rgds Peter. Linux Counter 5290, 1994-04-23.

If not, please right mouse click on the «STOP» button, and choose «Customize...»). This opens the «Customize Toolbar» window for the toolbars, and you can drag and drop the items from this window to the toolbars. Do you see the Back- and Forward arrows inside the «Customize Toolbar» Window? If yes, then just drag-drop them where you like them. Or use the «Restore default set» button. If the arrows do not appear, I am without any more ideas. Urs

In neither case did I have any themes installed but I still had no arrow buttons. I've now removed all themes from my standard user and again I have no arrow buttons. Thanks anyway, but this is not a theme problem. -- Rgds Peter. Linux Counter 5290, 1994-04-23.

Yes, I did intend to go step-wise. In fact I had the same absence of arrows in both those cases, so it's a feature of Firefox rather than my config. -- Rgds Peter. Linux Counter 5290, 1994-04-23.

Create a new user account and check how Firefox looks in that account. 2. I'm not aware of having a desktop theme. I certainly haven't changed anything in that department. I may have to resort to deleting my user and creating another one. That is going to be one large pain. Meanwhile I'm playing with Chrome instead. Just rename it to .old then let it create a new one. If it works, then you know where to start. If it doesn't, delete the one it just created and remove the .old and try something else. Dale :-) :-)

[gentoo-user] [OT] Firefox 3.6.12 problem?
Hello list, Sorry about the noise, but is it just me or has version 3.6.12 of Mozilla Firerox lost its Back and Forward arrow buttons? Here I just get a drop-down box with a list of visited pages. Perversely enough, although I use the keyboard much more than the mouse, this change has annoyed me enough to cause me to "emerge -e firefox", which took hours, to see if that would bring the arrows back. No dice. -- Rgds Peter. Linux Counter 5290, 1994-04-23.
