Re: [Geoserver-users] Gridset question

2019-02-07 Thread Phil Scadden
This rings some distant bells, though not with that particular EPSG (I'm in
antipodes). I have vague memory of needing to set a tile origin somewhere.
First step would be to isolate whether your issue is with geoserver or the
browser client. (my memories of this are with openlayers but I switched to
leaflet some time ago).
Can you look at the getmap request that browser is issuing and see whether the
image being sent matches the bbox being requested. If so, then geoserver is off
the hook and the problem is with the tileset management in the browser client.
If it doesn't match, then problem is with geoserver. You say "cached content" -
are you explicitly connected to a GWC cache or tileset, or is this from
integrated GWC where you have seeded tiles? If you turn caching off, does the
problem persist?

Subject: [Geoserver-users] Gridset question

Hi,

Does anyone know why my base mapping is moving when I preview the cached
content in British National Grid (EPSG:27700)?

Please see the attached screenshot.

It doesn't do this in web Mercator projection. If you try to zoom in using this
gridset the you end up in a completely different point (because the map centre
is shifting) whilst if you scroll in on other projections the map centre
remains constant.

It seems to have a minimal shift if I use the WMTS in QGIS but if I use it in
MapInfo Confirm then the shift is more pronounced.

 Hi Polen,
 to customize the layout you have to edit the config.yaml file you can
 find in the printing folder of the GeoServer data dir. Documentation about
 this file is available here:
 http://www.mapfish.org/doc/print/configuration.html, while generic
 documentation on the printing module is here:
 https://docs.geoserver.org/latest/en/user/extensions/printing/index.html

 Please have a look at those and ask specific questions if you have any
 doubt on configuring your layout.

Re: [Geoserver-users] ImagePyramid "sorry too many clients"

Hi Andrea

Le 07/02/2019 à 10:09, Andrea Aime a écrit :
Hum... the schema in the datastore configuration should affect only the

Are you expecting it to affect the mosaics somehow?

No, sorry, I got lost in the process. Now I believe I understand.
For some reason I thought that the JNDI datastore would be used by the
imagemosaic.
But the imagemosaic directely references the JNDI connection, not the
JNDI datastore. Makes sense.

Did you setup any connection between the datastore config and the mosaic?

No, that's what I thought was happening when I set up the
jndiReferenceName in the datastore.properties file to be the same as the
jndiReferenceName in the JNDI datastore configuration. Now I understand
that both refernce the jndiReferenceName defined in the context.xml of
my tomcat server. Totally logical, but as you can see I'm not very
knowledgeable in that matter.

I'm afraid not, while the generated output of the training material is under a
creative commons license, the source code of it is in a private repo. But it's
a good suggestion, I've opened a ticket to remind us a fix the next time we
work on the material.

OK, thanks for your help Andrea.

Cheers !

 Hi,

 I have installed Geoserver Printing Module extension successfully and
 trying to print a map using the following specifications using ajax

 var specs = {
 "units": "degrees",
 "srs": "EPSG:4326",
 "layout": "A4 portrait",

 "layers": [
 {
 "baseURL": "

 }
 }

 40.87890625 //lat
 ],
 "scale": 400,
 "rotation": "0",
 "mapTitle": "USA Population",
 "comment": "A custom comment"
 }
 ]
 };

 $.ajax(
 {
 url: '
 http://localhost:8080/geoserver/pdf/print.pdf',
 data: 'spec=' + JSON.stringify(specs),
 type: 'POST',
 xhrFields: {
 responseType: 'blob'
 },
 success: function (data)
 {
 var blob = new Blob([data]);
 var link =
 document.getElementById('my-pdf');
 link.href =
 window.URL.createObjectURL(blob);
 link.download = "Pdf.pdf";
 alert("Success");
 },
 error: function ()
 {
 alert("Failure");
 }
 });
 }

 What I'm getting as output is the attached pdf.

 And I couldn't able to customize the layout.

 Please guide me what I'm missing.

 Thanks

Re: [Geoserver-users] Mixed SRID geometries

2019-02-07 Thread Andrea Aime
Hi,
normally GeoServer figures out the srid of the data from the
geometry_columns view/table,
without needing to look at the data. Checking the first record found is the
last resort, and works only
if there is data of course.

So, could it be that the user you specified in the datastore connection
parameters is not granted
access to the geometry_columns view?

Cheers
Andrea

Re: [Geoserver-users] Style, i18N in SLD Title has no Chlidren

2019-02-07 Thread Andrea Aime
Hi Thomas,
the validation is done against schemas that might not have been updated to
handle this
vendor extension (multilingual titles are not part of SLD proper).
I suggest you ignore the validation, save it anyways, and see if it works,
and let us know if it does?

Cheers
Andrea

Hum... the schema in the datastore configuration should affect only the
feature
types served by the datastore itself.
Are you expecting it to affect the mosaics somehow? Did you setup any
connection
between the datastore config and the mosaic?

I think it's the expected behavior, but without seeing if there is any
connection
between the mosaic and the store page in the UI I cannot comment further

I'm afraid not, while the generated output of the training material is
under a creative commons license,
the source code of it is in a private repo. But it's a good suggestion,
I've opened a ticket to remind
us a fix the next time we work on the material.
