Re: [Geotools-devel] Release issues

2023-05-20 Thread Andrea Aime
Hi Ian,
you might want to check the "ssh agent" section of the configuration... I
just did and added on set of credentials (there are 3 possible, there was
just one).
You might find that issue in other jobs as well.. it's a bit crazy, I have
been adding missing credentials in a lot of jobs and sometimes they just
disappear, as if someone was removing them. Rather maddening, but now you
know how to fix it

Cheers
Andrea

I'm not sure where it is trying to connect to, but I suspect it's

[Geotools-devel] Release issues

2014-03-02 Thread Ian Turton
I'm about to make the 11-RC2 and 2.5-RC2 release but I'm confused as to
which branch I'm aiming to release from - my choices seem to be
2.6-Snapshot based on 12-snapshot (
http://ares.boundlessgeo.com/jenkins/job/cite-wfs-1.0/141/consoleText) or
2.4-snapshot based on 10-snapshot (
http://ares.boundlessgeo.com/jenkins/job/2.4-cite-wfs-1.0/140/consoleText).

I was expecting to find a 2.5-snapshot based on 11-snapshot, am I missing a
build or just confused?

Cheers

OK I've copied the 2.4-cite* jobs to 2.5 and made what look like the
necessary changes, I've kicked off the build but if someone who knows what
the cite results should look like can check I'd be grateful.

I'll probably not get a chance to release tonight anyway as I have to pack
for tomorrow's trip - I'll aim to get the release done at work tomorrow
lunch time.

Uh, I don't know. When I worked on the site building (a thread of
a couple months ago) they were building for me.
However javadoc aggregation is one of those plugins requiring
the parent folders to be project parents as well, the jdbc-ng
issue we discussed might be breaking it.

We really need to add a nightly build that builds both the site
and the aggregated javadocs... gah, wish we could find time for
everything...

No idea on this one

 - README.html is a bit annoying to update; could we go for something
generic and not do cutpaste each time?

Right, it is very annoying, +1 on a generic one.

 - deploy instructions did not deploy unsupported jdbc-ng modules; went
back and deployed using -Dall. This may be a mistake (to deploy
unsupported modules as part of a formal tag?)

I think we should deploy with -Dall.

 - binary download includes too much; I really want to leave unsupported
 modules out of this one

This should not happen unless you previously build with -Dall?

Jody

The release notes are here:
-
http://jira.codehaus.org/secure/ReleaseNote.jspa?projectId=10270styleName=Htmlversion=14961

I also went through the steps of packaging up files for source forge;
these were only partially successful:
- all the jars were gathered up; even unsupported modules we are not
interested in distributing resulting in a 40 meg download

- a geotools-2.6-M2-src.zip was not produced

I updated the release instructions a bit over the course of producing
this release; mostly fixing instructions to point to new maven and
subversion repositories.--
