Re: [Gimp-developer] 2.8 schedule, donations and krita
* Sven Neumann s...@gimp.org [01-15-10 13:18]: As far as I know the tablet that Mitch owns is a Wacom I (with serial connection). It's the same model that I sent you last year. These tablets were donated by Wacom in 1999 for the first GIMP developer conference. It might make sense to ask Wacom if they can donate some more so that the GIMP developers can work with more recent models. But if they aren't willing to donate hardware, we can just buy one or two tablets from the project money that we have. If Wacom will not donate, perhaps they would be willing to deeply discount some hardware ??? -- Patrick Shanahan Plainfield, Indiana, USAHOG # US1244711 http://wahoo.no-ip.org Photo Album: http://wahoo.no-ip.org/gallery2 Registered Linux User #207535@ http://counter.li.org ___ Gimp-developer mailing list Gimp-developer@lists.XCF.Berkeley.EDU https://lists.XCF.Berkeley.EDU/mailman/listinfo/gimp-developer

Re: [Gimp-developer] the symbol for inch can be ' ?
* Daniel Hornung [EMAIL PROTECTED] [11-18-08 09:59]: Indeed, wikipedia says it's the double prime symbol: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Inch http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Prime_(symbol) http://www.isthisthingon.org/unicode/index.php?page=02subpage=0glyph=02033 which is different from quotation marks. I don't know if that plays a role here though :) Although I have seen the double prime used to denote inch measurement, that usage has been so rare as to approach non-existence. The double quotation mark more recognizable, less mis-understood and almost universally used, to the point that double prime could be mis-understood and appear to be in error. It is my humble opinion that the double quotation mark should be utilized. -- Patrick Shanahan Plainfield, Indiana, USAHOG # US1244711 http://wahoo.no-ip.org Photo Album: http://wahoo.no-ip.org/gallery2 Registered Linux User #207535@ http://counter.li.org ___ Gimp-developer mailing list Gimp-developer@lists.XCF.Berkeley.EDU https://lists.XCF.Berkeley.EDU/mailman/listinfo/gimp-developer
Re: [Gimp-developer] EXIF data missing after jpg save
* Jim Sabatke [EMAIL PROTECTED] [06-04-08 14:09]: OK, I'm processing Nikon D200 NEF (RAW) photos with gimp and ufraw. ufraw shows the exif data properly. When I edit the photo in gimp and go to save with the standard settings, the exif data do not show up on my pbase website. This is a new behavior as exif data have always shown up before. the opensuse team that is maintaining gimp/ufraw does not believe that exif data is important to the project and do not include support for exif. I questioned stbinner at suse dot de several years ago (iirc) and was imformed. Perhaps several questions/comments from different users would convince them otherwise. Maintainers names appear in the changelog comments. I am assuming that my memory is not failing and you do/did use opensuse? -- Patrick Shanahan Plainfield, Indiana, USAHOG # US1244711 http://wahoo.no-ip.org Photo Album: http://wahoo.no-ip.org/gallery2 Registered Linux User #207535@ http://counter.li.org ___ Gimp-developer mailing list Gimp-developer@lists.XCF.Berkeley.EDU https://lists.XCF.Berkeley.EDU/mailman/listinfo/gimp-developer
