Fog?
Hi all! I have an image and I want to add fog to it. What's the best method to add a fog-like effect? I thought about channels but I don't know how to get fogs with it. I'm unexperienced. Thank you! --Joachim

Large images
Hi! I really like the GIMP. But it's unusable for large images (e.g. 2000x2000 pixels). My brother had to copy one big image into another: -My home partitiion was completely filled (115 MB of GIMP swap) -GIMP used more than 60MB of RAM My PC is a AMD K6/2 300 MHZ and 128MB of RAM. Is there another program wchich is usable with large images? It would be very good if GIMP could be optimized for usage with large images after the release of 1.2. OT: GTK 1.2 CVS
Hi! Since GTK is GIMP related I ask this question here: I tried to compile newest GTK 1.2x CVS. I get the following compiler output: GTK_TYPE_ACCEL_GROUP undefiened and lots more accel relted stuf (undifined things). Is there a workaround or solution ? CVS problems
Hi all! At the oment I experience strange CVS problems. Todays CVS checks out GIMP 1.1.15 !although the current release is GIMP 1.1.16! I thin 1.1.15 because libgimp/.libs conatins only the 1.1.15 libs after a build. Lighning plugin doesn't work properly
Hi! The lightning plugin doesn't work properly. Zoom / Unzoom doesn't work, setting the light position with the mouse doesn't work, too. Without these functions it's nearly unusable. perl filters doesn't appear in normal filter menu
Hi! Discovered a problem with the perl filters of my GIMP 1.1.13. The perl filters appear in an own menu called "Filter" (German), but the binary filters appear in an other menu called "Filter" (Germen). Although they are the same names they're two different menus. "Filter' (German) is the translation of the english word "filters". If I use the GIMP in english it works fine. gimp-plugins-unstable maintained?
Hi! Is the package (CVS) gimp-plugins-unstable maintained? Some plugins (like guash) are already in GIMP 1.1.13, some are impossible to compile ... Would be great to see some of them in the GIMP distribution. BTW: Is gimp-data-extras maintained? Lighting effects
Hi! The lightimh effects plugin doesn't have a working zoom/unzoom function. Although it takes some time after clicking on the +/- Button but it displays everytime the same. i18n
Hi! Hope this is the right list, because I subscribed a day ago. I complely reinstalled the GIMP from CVS and figured that i18n doesn't work any more for german. t displays instead of the script and filter names the german word "Datei", the word for file.
