[Gimp-user] Wacom pens with rotation supported ?
It's the Wheel column in the Mapping matrix of the Paint Dynamics Editor. Isn't wheel the option for the airbrush pen ? The one with the little wheel on top ? I am rather talking about that pen: https://www.wacom.com/en/Store/Pages/Product.aspx?product=ZP600crumb={61BE90DC-FD90-423A-AB1B-E93B704BEB43} It is rotation sensitive, unlike the grip or airbrush pens. -- Gwenouille (via gimpusers.com) ___ gimp-user-list mailing list gimp-user-list@gnome.org http://mail.gnome.org/mailman/listinfo/gimp-user-list

[Gimp-user] No use gradient checkbox
I'm using Windows7 Home Premium. I'm new to GIMP. I was following one of the tutorials to get used to GIMP and I don't have a check box by the gradient box so I can use color from gradient. Here's a link to a screen shot I took. https://picasaweb.google.com/114202365594956578899/DropBox?authkey=Gv1sRgCP_W2vG2g7Pvaw#5742303441265701202 I uninstalled, then reinstalled the program, but that didn't help. Suggestions or work arounds would be appreciated. -- subeeds (via gimpusers.com) ___ gimp-user-list mailing list gimp-user-list@gnome.org http://mail.gnome.org/mailman/listinfo/gimp-user-list

Suggestions or work arounds would be appreciated. The tutorial you used is obsolete. With GIMP 2.8, the color is taken from the gradient if at least one box is checked in the Color row of the mapping matrix for the current paint dynamics. See for example the Random Color paint dynamics. Depending on what you intend to do, you'll probably have to define a new paint dynamics, using the proper button in the Paint Dynamics dialog. -- Olivier Lecarme ___ gimp-user-list mailing list gimp-user-list@gnome.org http://mail.gnome.org/mailman/listinfo/gimp-user-list

Re: [Gimp-user] Wacom pens with rotation supported ?
Since we're on this topic, does anyone have any recommendations for good artpad/pen sets to buy? Used, good price, etc? I have an old Wacom/Intuos1 pad, and have lost it's pen, and was thinking about finding a replacement, but on second thought I figured it's probably a waste of time and should look for a newer set that can make use of newer features? Re: [Gimp-user] Benchmarking Gimp/GEGL
I am using them as default. Now the only issue with the test above is that the original gaussian filter is still very slow. I have to figure out the correspondence between gegl-gaussian-blur and the gaussian blur filter. Olivier could you pleas tell whether You use this in GNU/Linux or other OS? I'm considering new tablet, that supports pen rotation but big problem is to find something that's both affordable and works with GNU/Linux Thanks Dominik 2012/5/14, Daniel Smith opened...@gmail.com: Since we're on this topic, does anyone have any recommendations for good artpad/pen sets to buy?
