[Gimp-user] Pressure Sensitivity with Monoprice Tablet

I installed the drivers from the disc before plugging the tablet in... maybe I should have plugged it in first, but I don't see why. -- PlasticTopHat (via www.gimpusers.com/forums) ___ gimp-user-list mailing list List address:gimp-user-list@gnome.org List membership: https://mail.gnome.org/mailman/listinfo/gimp-user-list List archives: https://mail.gnome.org/archives/gimp-user-list
[Gimp-user] Pressure Sensitivity with Monoprice Tablet
>No idea. I installed the drivers from the disc before plugging the >tablet in... maybe I should have plugged it in first, but I don't see >why. I found the solution to the problem here: http://www.robertcina.com/2014/12/22/how-to-get-monoprice-graphics-tablet-pressure-sensitivity-to-work-in-gimp-2-8-on-windows-8/ Apparently, for whatever reason, the 64-bit version of GIMP for Windows does not work properly with pressure sensitivity. The website above provided easy instructions on how to force my 64-bit computer to load the 32-bit version of GIMP, even though the installer wants to automatically load the 64-bit based on what it detects from my computer. Now the pressure sensitivity is working perfectly. Thanks for your help, though! -- PlasticTopHat (via www.gimpusers.com/forums) ___ gimp-user-list mailing list List address:gimp-user-list@gnome.org List membership: https://mail.gnome.org/mailman/listinfo/gimp-user-list List archives: https://mail.gnome.org/archives/gimp-user-list
[Gimp-user] 2015 project report
Hi, We hope you are having awesome holidays! Here's our annual project report: http://www.gimp.org/news/2015/12/31/2015-report/ In a nutshell, 2015 brought us new important features, many fixes, better look'n'feel. We expect 2016 to be much less about new features and even more about stability, bugfixing, performance improvements, and overall polishing. Re: [Gimp-user] 2015 project report
Everyone, fans and complainers, take a look at the report. Quite a lot of nice enhancements. A big thank-you to the GIMP developers from a casual user, for all the hard work done on GIMP. The N-Point Deformation video is jaw-dropping! -- Mark On 12/31/2015 12:33, Alexandre Prokoudine wrote: Hi, We hope you are having awesome holidays! Pleased that you found the answer - so now the pressure's off - or should that be on? :¬) (Your statement above that the 64-bit version of GIMP for Windows does not work with pressure sensitivity should, perhaps, be qualified to say that this applies to Monoprice tablets - I am running W7 64-bit with a Wacom and have no problems, provided that I start GIMP from the tablet) Happy New Year -- programmer_ceds (via www.gimpusers.com/forums) ___ gimp-user-list mailing list List address:gimp-user-list@gnome.org List membership: https://mail.gnome.org/mailman/listinfo/gimp-user-list List archives: https://mail.gnome.org/archives/gimp-user-list
