Hi,

I just committed some change in the i18n section of the release notes to
reflect work done during the 2.32 cycle.

String additions to 'anjuta.master'

2010-09-25 Thread GNOME Status Pages
This is an automatic notification from status generation scripts on:
http://l10n.gnome.org.

There have been following string additions to module 'anjuta.master':

+ bError:/b The trigger key can only contain alphanumeric characters and _
!

Note that this doesn't directly indicate a string freeze break, but it
might be worth investigating.

Re: GNOME 2.32 Release Notes

In the better late than never category, the Release Notes are now
ready for translation. They are in the release-notes repo in the

I sincerely apologize for the delay in getting these ready for you.

Please let me know if you have any questions.
GNOME 3.0 will continue to provide the desktop platform and applications
it always has, and will also feature a new user interface in GNOME Shell
and the GNOME Activity Journal which easily helps you browse and find
files on your computer. GNOME 3.0 also will include new features in
accessibility, new user help and documentation, GNOME's first web
service in Tomboy Online and more. For developers, GNOME 2.30 deprecates
a number of old libraries.

Is the last GNOME 2.30 a typo? I guess it should be GNOME 2.32, isn't
it?

Cheers.

 Hi Claude,

I would like to point out some stats for 2.30+ I've been collecting regarding
 Indonesian translation.

 * 20100418 - stat collection started, Indonesian translation level for
 2.30 was 60% (27590/4779/13207)
 * 20100806 - major jump for 2.30, 67% (30539/4476/10055) to 82%
(37011/2726/5333), I think because of major backports
 * 20100923 - 2.30 stays around 83% (38153/2403/4948), while 2.32 was
 at 91% (42127/784/3157)
so I can say that Indonesian translation completion jumped from around
 60% at 2.30 release time
to around 91% at 2.32 release time. That was around 31 points.

(resent to the list, as it might concern other teams as well)

Thanks for this insight. Indeed the l10n stats are not freezed at
release time, so if a team is progressing much after the .0 release, we
might miss those progresses.

What about this:

Translating a software package as large as GNOME into a new language
can be an overwhelming task for even the most dedicated translation
team. For this release, we would like to give a special mention to the
Indonesian team who reached the full-supported status (raising from 60%
to 91%), and the Esperanto team, raising the completeness of their
translation by more than 10 points (currently 23% translated).
Other teams deserving mention for a special effort in this release are
Kazakh and Uighur.

The following string has several typos:

SyncTeX support has been added to Evince. SyncTex is a method that
enables synchronization between a TeX source file and the resulting PDF
(or DVI) output. SyncTex support has been added to Evince and as a new
plug-in for applicationgedit/application. Backward Search, from
Evince to gedit, and Forward Search, from Gedit to Evince, are both
supported.

* SyncTeX or SyncTex, but not both.
* The second sentence is repeated, half the same as the first one,
doesn't make sense.
* gedit or Gedit, but not both.

Cheers.

Great!

Could you send me privately one of the translated file so as I can
commit it and initiate stats for your team?

You should also create an account on l10n.gnome.org so as I can appoint
you as coordinator.
