In what form (Infinitive, Noun, Imperative) are UI actions like Open, Close, Show ... translated in your language? Arabic is now coordinated by Djihed Afifi ( http://developer.gnome.org/projects/gtp/teams.html) under the same umbrella project http://www.arabeyes.org. This is not far from being complete, we added more terms to make it more comprehensive. Beside that, you can use PO files in cvs.arabeyes.org to make a translation database.
