[Goanet] ALL IN THE DYNASTY…THE DON AND HIS HEIR…QUO VADIS PANAJI…WITH NOW A GREENHORN AT THE HELM?
In a textbook case of sheer political greed and ego (in the true traditions of Mafiosi) Panaji today will be lumbered to its much further detriment with a clumsy Rohit Monserrate as the Mayor of the Corporation of City of Panaji (CCP). In times when political ethics and morals have slumped to an all time low, it is not surprising that the BJP has succumbed to Babush Monserrate’s bullying and tantrums. The pious talk against nepotism, and fulminations against family raj are nowhere to be heard. Despite there being credible and meritorious persons like the four time Corporator Diksha Mainkar, besides Shubham Chodankar and Vithal Chopdekar, for Babush Monserrate promoting his family Raj has out weighed the welfare of Panaji. What a secure way for "collection" to have one's own heir as the Mayor! On March 22nd Babush Monserrate had the audacity of celebrating his panel’s win by cutting that victory cake with a Sword, a prelude to the imminent slaughtering of Panaji itself, by imposing a non-performing Mayor, to match a non-performing MLA, his father. What can you or I expect from either of them? The CCP which besides Panaji includes our Ribandar sadly remains decaying with the situation worsening by the day due to utter mismanagement coupled with rampant corruption and bad governance enveloped with scams galore. The very messy and stinking vital Panaji market is in dire straits already, while the St Inez and Rua de Ourem creeks are horrible eyesores, and affront to our nostrils, bearing the brunt of that unbearable stench. The stagnation and neglect of the capital city’s crucial infrastructure is all too evident. Despite paying very exorbitant taxes the quality of life for the residents of Panaji has been on a downslide with people now having to even pay steep fees to park their vehicles. The city’s gardens and parks are also in a despicable state. The coffers of the CCP which should have actually been overflowing, for reasons best known to all are empty or rather have been willfully emptied. The inaction of the authorities on the over two decade old infamous multi crore Panaji market scam says it all. Unless there is transparency and accountability in the working of the CCP with Zero Tolerance to any scams, Goa’s capital city will languish in decay now with an inept and incapable novice as a puppet Mayor, the City is set to land from the frying pan into the fire. UAE ranked #74 in the world of soccer takes on highly touted India team ranked #104. The result was a very forgettable 6-0. "The international friendly matches were being played as part of preparations for the joint qualification round of 2022 World Cup and 2023 Asian Cup to be played in June." Comment: India team better get going and fast.

Re: [Goanet] End of Empire
If you Google Grenada you will get an island in the Caribbean. I think it is Granada TV? [Goanet] TRIPLE PROTECTION AGAINST COVID-19
TRIPLE PROTECTIONAGAINST COVID-19 Elvidio Miranda The Covid-19 pandemic has proven to be a dangerous foe to millions of people who have been infected by it. Tough measures are required to fight against such rampaging enemy. In light of seeking to provide a multi-layer of protection if acceptable to people, it would be stressed that as a first line of defence, you should get vaccinated, and take immune-boosters to solidify your immune system. The second way is to indulge in strenuous exertion in order to build your immunity further. Strenuous exercises boost your built-in immunity. A third way is to believe that the blood of Jesus Christ has been shed to protect you in totality during your sojourn on earth. An example that should elucidate this is that of the life of our Goencho Saib. St. Francis Xavier was always indulging in strenuous long walks and exertion while preaching the Gospel. The reason why his body has become so incorruptible is that he built a very strong immune system by his firm belief in Jesus Christ as well as his strenuous regimen of tough tasks in his routine. It would be a big boost to each and everyone if we can incorporate these three lines of defence against Covid-19 in our lives and thus get triple immunity, a barrage that will surely keep Covid-19 at bay.

ONLY JUDICIARY CAN BE OUR SAVIOUR Unfortunately the judiciary seems to be in awe of the executive and the legislature will bulldoze any law through Parliament and the President will sign sign it! The SC refused to stay the operation of Electoral Bonds in secrecy even though opposed in the PIL also by the EC! Parliament passed the Bill just last week for the LG to be the government over the elected government despite the SC ruling in July 2018 that the LG cannot interfere in every decision of the Delhi government and he must act on the aid and advice of the Council of Ministers! What we are permitting is correctly labeled as "Dictatorial Democracy" ?
