Translated this means:
The lion of Aguada, you woke us up!

How I pine to live in that sacred place called Aguada Prison, where my
father spent a year during the freedom struggle!

It was a temple, and it is time to restore it its temple status back again.

In Bakibab's ( B. B. Borkar, the great poet's words) words (and I wish this was
in Devanagari) during the freedom struggle:
Goenchem naav whod korunk,
lhan zale mhaan,
bondkonichim devlam zali,
lamondive lamb!

( To make Goa great, the small became big.
The prisons turned into temples!)

Jai Hind!
Samir

Samir,

Thanks for stirring up Bakibab's words in my memory. They move me every time I
hear them. I think lamondive lamb should be lamondive praann - oil lamps
became souls or breaths.

I am hoping that you have hit a nerve among the Goan populace - said to them
zayath zage, words of another great man.

Best,

Santosh
