Wonder what the Government's plans would be incase of any emergency.Having travelled on the this road, I know how narrow it is. I don'tthink that there are any alternate routes available. Having watched the video I could see that the majority of the trucks --more than 90% were Tata. Tatas and Telco must be really happy that they can sell these many trucks in Goa alone! I guess mining in Goa, is a double-edged sword. On the one hand it provides a lot of employment but on the other it is destroying theenvironment and the beauty of Goa as well as the quality of life, forthe people in these areas. It has brought back my memory. As a kid, we many time (often uninvited) attended Kunnbi weddings. not that I was poor or greedy but I simply loved their wedding special dishes. 'On' a sort of 'goddxem', i loved it. 'odde' small marble shaped/sized sweet 'laddoos' made from soaked boiled rice/paste. So how did we know when and where was the wedding? A 'Render' in our locality used to give us all the information who was hailing from that area. And what more? we often got VIP treatment.. Check this out.. In about about 1.5 days, it already crossed 2000 mark. I know some people find it scary, perhaps u may find it too. If you ask me what movies I like most? My ans. would be 'Horror' These ones I captured on St. Inez Road only, from behind Dempe college to St, Inez Church. There were about 20 such effigies. The one with poor lighting are not captured well by the camera and hence ignored. almost all of them had techno or DJ music with loud speaker system (as can be seen/heard in the clip) Thanks to Taleigao MLA, who, I understand, donates huge amount of money starting from Rs.10,000 to upt 50,000. And dont forget, size does matter. i.e. bigger attracts more, i mean more money from the MLA. The loud music is on all night until 5-6am. At Mala Panjim, going by the past year's experience, an irritated lady burnt the narkasur a day before the Narkasur day, fire brigade had to call in to put off the fire. She was protesting to stop or shift the nuisance i.e. noise pollution. As per law, there can't be any louder music after 10pm but i guess it does not apply on feast day etc and such feasts or celebrations could be av. once a week tking into account all religious festivals in Goa/India. Whatever it is, I enjoyed it too much.
