Now children are going to private camps by paying, is this the new trend in sports in Goa, has government stopped their support for sports in Goa.

Most of these Association have not renewed its registration and are called as unregistered bodies. Only Govt. can renew its registration by special resolution in the assembly. Those who want to do long term contrat for promoting any sports dicipline are not willing to sign a contract with unregistered body. These is one of the basic drawback of funds not reaching to sports person in Goa. As per Goa Societies registration act 1995 every organisation should renew its registration once in 3 years. The 1st Lusofonia games ended with a powerful display from the Shaolin kungfu team. Our Goan sports leaders sat with their mouths open in awe not only to the Shaolin effort but to the splendid organization of the Games. The games result showed that sports in Goa is almost non existent. Even the dunce cap from California would have done better if he had to take part in the Half-Marathon. Tiny Cabo Verde showed that it is talent and support that counts. 4 decades of invasion have produced murderers, DJ, drug addicts and thieves. Where do the Goan youth go from here?
