Re: [Goanet] IRAN
The war industry is profit based. So we will always have these wars based on false pretenses to feed the war profit machine. Plus Iran has a lot of oil. Too bad we have not convinced people that peace is more profitable and to invest in peace instead. George

*Clearly Iran is being pushed to make that nation reckless. All these tankers seized by Iran are in Iran’s territory. From: Naguesh Bhatcar Unfortunately, the people of Iran have suffered under both, the Shah and since 1979, the Ayatollahs. ---GL responds: The more importation question is what can India and Indians learn from Iran and he Mid-East? Some Indians claim that India would progress more rapidly if everyone was Hindu. The experiences of Mid-East proves the contrary. It would appear there is more progress of the people and the country with education of the masses. Many in India think keeping the lower caste in ignorance is just fine. Regards, GL
Re: [Goanet] Iran Before 1979
Unfortunately, the people of Iran have suffered under both, the Shah and since 1979, the Ayatollahs. They say "The people get the Government they deserve".. I don't believe it is realistically true. More so in this case. Iranians are some of the nicest people around The Shah was imposed on the Iranians by the West Perhaps, when they supported the Mullahs, they did not know as to what they were getting into. They have all the resources to be rich and prosperous, but both the Shah and the Ayatollahs have been using them to advance their agendas! Sad really In general, all of the Middle East is a mess...
