RESPONSE:

To the best of my knowledge, jc does NOT hate anybody, be it supra or infra.

What jc appreciates NOT is duplicity which jc has referred to on numerous
occasions as Two-Tone.

It is he (TRS)who pointed to Prof. Boxer and said pointing to the fac.. So,
 dear Jose,

why did you say I SAID fact.

I do NOT remember stating that You SAID that.

Do you?

In any event . I hope you and TRS will go to the Boxer grave and advise him
iof the list of British Colonies present in 2013 ( not including the
Malvinas).

Then, we can talk about WHO is a real historian and WHO a convenient
Bondollisto .

Given below in quotes is a para from Teotonio de Souza's article. It is he
who pointed to Prof. Boxer and said pointing to the fac.. So, dear Jose,
why did you say I said fact. That's the reason I said that you need to go
to Prof. Boxer's grave and aks the noted historian or ask Prof. Teotonio de
Souza to reply. I know how much you respect Prof. de Souza.
As for the other part, I have taken Prof. Boxer's assertion and applied to
the case of Goa as one colony that the Portuguese didn't want to leave.
Those in Goa must have read the piece by by Teotonio and I wish they could
send letters to the editor of Herald instead of making useless noise on the
other list.
As for the man Down Under, it would do a world of good for him if he keeps
his mouth shut because of his poor knowledge of Goa's history.

In the wake of the Portuguese revolution of 1974, Professor Charles Boxer,
who contributed greatly to the history of the Portuguese expansion
overseas, contributed an essay to a book that sought to draw a balance
sheet of Portuguese colonialism (1976). Pointing to the fact that the
Portuguese were the first to expand and the last to withdraw, he did not
see it as an indicator of their success as good colonialists, as the
Portuguese tend to call themselves, but a result of their teimosia, or
stubborn persistence. This continues to be the key to Portuguese survival,
if not success.
