Re: [Goanet] Parriker must apologise for attrocities against minorities

There must be some sort of atonement, reparations and holding people accountable for what was perpetrated. Accountability is a redundant or shoud I say, archaic word in Indian politics. Such gestures as taking questions from Goanetters is a shallow and frivolous attempt to propagandize at the cost of Goanet. Goanet is a privately owned mailing-list, and nowhere do I see a consultation with the owner about this venture. Mailing lists are not for free, but like everything else in India, one can bamboozle one's way into anything if one has the guile and gumption to do so. Parriker and the BJP are the Hamas of Goa. One cannot do business with the Hamas. I grew up in the desert. In the desert one doesn't trust horse-traders. They will lie and cheat at every opportunity. The first question to be posed to Parriker should be whether he will openly denounce Babush Monsterat and then hold himself to a pledge to never include him in a ministerial berth. Parriker will not do this because he needs Monsterat in the wider scheme of things, as does every stinking politico in Goa. NRI Goans, read Sandeep Heble's accounts of Parriker and you will have a better understanding of what Parriker actually is. Please don't be swayed by this quaint little question and answer session. In India everyone prepares for questions and answers by refering to a Guide book, rather than knowing something about life. selma Never miss a thing. Re: [Goanet] Parriker must apologise for attrocities against minorities
Are we on Goanet such untouchables that an ex CM of Goa must stoop as low as in order to dialogue with us? Atrocities against minorities? Goa has been fortunate not to have witnessed atrocities that have plagued some parts of India. Our Dubai journalist perhaps is given to much hyperbole. Crying wolf frivolously means that cries will be ignored when the wolf actually prowls. Let Parrikar have his say whether he has time on his hands or for any other reason. And if Kamat wants to follow, with some other Goanetters taking the initiative for him to do so, that will be welcome too. Perhaps Parrikar is learning what Floriano Lobo has long since known - the power of the internet and the minds of overseas Goans. Roland. Is he ready for that? Regards Cedric da Costa Dubai

Bab Cedrico said : Parriker must apologise for attrocities againstminorities My comment : Hi irmao, Prior to the June assembly elections , Manohar Parrikar publicly admitted that mistakes were made during his term with regard to the Goan minorities ...and he would do his best to avoid such errors in the future. He did this through his public speeches , paper and audiovisual media and the BJP website. Not only did he fail to make significant inroads into the Catholic vote , it was widely perceived that the ground made by MGP in Novas Conquistas constituencies ( the MGP percentage vote increased by 7.5 % compared to 2002 ) was related to this apology. regards, anand ( Dr Anand Virgincar ) _ Telly addicts unite! http://www.searchgamesbox.com/tvtown.shtml

Is GoaNet that lowly a place that Mr. Parrikar would be stooping IF he chooses to answer the questions of GoaNetters? 2: Would Cedrico da Costa please identify the atrocities for which Mr. Parrikar must apologise? 3: Has Mr. Parrikar been proven connected to the commission of the atrocities that Mr. Cedrico da Costa refers to? 4: How different is Mr. Cedrico da Costa who appears to hate Mr. Parrikar for the commission of some atrocities from Rajan Parrikar who hates St Francisco Xavier (SFX) for Goa alone knows what? There are many Goan bigots who openly state that they hate SFX because of the crimes of the Inquisition...which started 9 years after the death of SFX. I ask the bigots Can you link 'beyond reasonable doubt' the crimes of the Inquisition to SFX . and I ask Cedrico da Costa : Can you link 'beyond reasonable doubt' the crimes against minorities to Mr. Manohar Parrikar? jc
