I did the 2.0.3 to 2.1 update via yum on centos7 also. api was not changed. 
I was able to reach api using old url.

After watching this thread, I did following
 
1. http://myip:12900/ -> http://myip:9000/api/ 
in  /etc/graylog/server/server.conf for rest_listen_uri setting.
2. systemctl restart graylog-server
3. see screenshot 

The only concern I have is that it take very long time api url to return

Hi Aykisn,

the redirect at the root resource of the Graylog REST API is there to 
prevent users from accidentally opening the Graylog REST API in their 
browser if they actually want to open the web interface.

You can still access the "real" resources of the Graylog REST API as 
before, e. g. http://:9000/api/system/, otherwise the Graylog web 
interface wouldn't work.

web interface.

How can I access the old API page ? Or is that not possible anymore ?

Yes, that's to be expected and an intentional redirect.

What's the output of the following curl command?

curl -i http://:9000/api/?pretty=true
