Re: [GROW] Agenda Slot Requests - IETF 103

2018-10-24 Thread Paolo Lucente

Hi Chris,

There has been some discussion on the mailing-list about
draft-ietf-grow-bmp-local-rib and draft-ietf-grow-bmp-adj-rib-out; if time
permits, I’d like to get some minimal time (15-20 mins total) to provide an
update on the two drafts.

[GROW] Comments on draft-ietf-idr-route-leak-detection-mitigation-10

2018-10-24 Thread Sriram, Kotikalapudi (Fed)
I am creating this separate thread for this draft.
Better to have the subject line relevant to the comments/discussion.
The authors would love to hear your comments/questions.

Sriram

We have this updated WG draft in IDR on route leaks detection and mitigation.
There is a shift towards using BGP Community (previously it was BGP Attribute)
for carrying
the Route Leak Protection (RLP) information.
The thinking behind this is potentially quicker deployment without
dependence on vendor implementation changes.
It will be good to discuss this in GROW and get operator inputs on the type of
Community (transitive) that might be best suited (Large, Extended, etc.).

Updated IDR WG draft:
https://tools.ietf.org/html/draft-ietf-idr-route-leak-detection-mitigation-10

Authors’ Team Discussion Slides provide helpful graphics and scenario analyses:

If possible to accommodate, I would like to request 10 to 15 minutes.
