Re: [h-cost] OT: corset and breast augmentation surgery
A friend of mine had this surgery done a few years ago, she was very tender through her pectoral muscles and chest for quite a while, it might be a month or two before she can deal with the compression for any length of time. Even lifting her arms up hurt a lot. You'll have to play it by ear, it will depend on how fast she heals, and how fast her body and muscles adapt to the implants. Re: [h-cost] OT: skin tone mesh long sleeved shirt
To narrow your search, look for Bellydance costume makers/suppliers. Belly covers would be a good search parameter. I have the name of the place I bought mine from at home somewhere - Sugar petals is another one - I'll look it up for you this evening when I get home. Re: [h-cost] Vintage police uniform
Have you tried your local city archives? Your local police may also have their own museum/archives you could check out. Good luck! Re: [h-cost] Trade Journals
If I had to hazard a guess d-b would be double breasted. And even more of a guess, weren't all the old tennis sweaters v neck? Just my unedumacated guesses there. :0) Sheridan P > From: pe...@costumegallery.com > To: h-cost...@indra.com > Date: Sat, 16 Jan 2010 22:32:59 -0500 > Subject: [h-cost] Trade Journals > > I have been reading industry trade journal "Clothes" from 1968. [h-cost] Needed: Pattern for an adult sized muscle suit
Sorry, not very historical unless you count the 1990's. :0) A friend of mine has foolishly agreed to make her brother a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle costume for a local Comic con this fall. I found a couple of online links, but all the old ones I used to know of seem to be long gone and/or broken. Online is preferred, she wants to start this as soon as possible, and is for a 29 year old guy who doesn't sew. Thanks in advance!
