Well, it took a whole dang day just to figure out how to make it. Another day to put the horsehair braid in the 24 yards of silk. (there is one ~2 and one 1/2 braid in opposite ends - uggh I hate this kind of sewingessentially 48 yards of machine sewing straight lines.) Then, several of my fellow meticulous engineer friends offered to come help do the measuring and handsewing of 3/4 of the ruff. (Boy, you know you have good friends when they pop up to do this kind of stuff - neither one of them has much interest in this kind of sewing.) I figureabout 30 hours total.
