[HCDX] Indonesia on Brazil

2022-10-19 Thread Lúcio Bobrowiec via Hard-Core-DX
3945kHz, R. Vanuatu, Vanuatu, Port Vila; 13/10, 0835 – 0838 music. Very poor
signal, it´s been a while since i heard anything decent on this frequency
(LOB-B).
https://soundcloud.app.goo.gl/ocqiP

7290kHz, R. RRI Nabire Pro 1, Indonesia; 18/10, 0850 – 0904 Maghrib (sunset)
Islamic call-to-prayer as Ron Howard mentions in his log of 18/10 . Poor but
better than usual, (most days this signal does not arrive here) progressive
degradation (LOB-B).
In this recording there is some noise from the
recorder:https://soundcloud.app.goo.gl/xpN9e

7290kHz, R. RRI Nabire Pro 1, Indonesia; 19/10, 0846 – 0905 seems pop song, at
08:47:30 short male announcements, then Maghrib (sunset) Islamic call-to-prayer
as Ron Howard mentions in his log of 18/10 until 08:58:30, soft music
selections. Better, clearer than 18/10 listening, poor to fair. A tree fell on
my dipole antena in afternoon of the day before but half remained on top, even
so it provided this very interesting listening (LOB-B).
https://soundcloud.app.goo.gl/86M9c

Thanks for Ron Howard by RRI Nabire Pro 1’s discovery

Hi Steven,
Thanks for sharing your 3325 kHz. observations today (May 14). Interesting
to note the difference between our receptions,
even though we are both in California. Today heard with audio at a decent
level, from the Voice of Indonesia. A few highlights:

*1102: Suddenly on.

1300-1308: Into segment in English; intro ID and then the news (item about
Disaster Risk Reduction conference [May 13-17]
being held in Geneva, item about ASEAN, item about moving the capital away
from Jakarta, etc.). My audio of today's ASEAN
news story, followed by clear ID, at http://bit.ly/2VCkmF5 (
http://bit.ly/2VCkmF5 ).

1308-1312: "Commentary."

1312-1316: "Today in History" (this date in 1948, independent state of
Israel was proclaimed, etc.).

Nice to hear VOI back to a fairly readable level again!

Re: cannibalising Marconi transmitters at Bonto Sunggu, Sulawesi

- Original Message -
Sent: Sunday, January 29, 2012 Subject: Indonesia

Hallo Wolfgang,
Greetings from Bandung Java isl, here's rainy and cool, less than
24 degrees. But probably much warmer than at your location.

A little comment on VoINS transmitter to contribute:

INDONESIA (History 1996)

Back in Summer 1996, when they were installing the Bonto Sunggu site in
South Sulawesi, I was in Ujung Pandang (now Makassar) for some months,
thus also monitored the test transmissions.

In addition to the External Service on 9525 kHz they had at certain times
of the day up to eight frequencies carrying RRI Jakarta Programa Nasional
simultaneously (from all sites), plus the old tropical band txm
on 4777 kHz !

Later in the year the test transmissions evolved into a regular schedule,
they even had two National Programmes, ID'ing as RRI Indonesia programa
satu and dua respectively.

What happened to all five of the Bonto Sunggu transmitters?
I don't see them listed nor mentioned anywhere ? Have they in the
relatively short period of 15 years all broken down due to neglect and
lack of maintenace ? It's hardly possible that half a dozen txms are so
worn out that they cannot even be used as spares !

If WRTH 2012 is right, could it be that they have been shipped to Jakarta
Cimanggis ? For what purpose ? They couldn't have taken the antennas with
them ?!
(Gerhard Werdin, on visit in Bandung, INS, Jan 29, 2012)

Beste Gruesse,
Gerhard

On Mon Jan 16 2012, Noel Green-UK wrote: Re Voice of Indonesia (VOI)
external service is off the air last few days. This is because of technical
fault in the transmitter. VOI is in search of correct spares from the
original equipment manufacturer. But it is not so easy for such old
transmitter and expensive too.

We hope VOI will be back on the air very shortly.

It is interesting to note that the 2012 WRTH says that at Jakarta
Cimanggis there are 2X50kW, 3X100kW and 9X250kW shortwave transmitters.

The TDP listing shows the following at Jakarta Cimanggis:

A series of 50 / 100 kW transmitters installed between 1950-1974 and now
believed withdrawn from service.

Then there are these

3X100kW Harris of 1982
1X250kW THO of 1983 (ordered/or in service)
4X250kW MAR of 1992
3X250kW MAR of 1995

plus

5X250kW MAR of 1996 (ordered.or in service) at Bontosongu
1X250kW THO of 1983 (ordered/or in service) at Padang Cermin

As far as I'm aware, 9680 is regularly on air with a domestic RRI
programme, but now the 9525/6 transmitter is short of spares. So what
happened to all of the other transmitters? Were they installed at all -
and which of them is used on 9525/6?

Maybe all the cannibalising that can be done to keep it on air is why
there is only one transmitter left for the FS?

[HCDX] Indonesia PERU - QUESTIONS - No answers

2008-10-18 Thread ka4prf

Indonesia, 9525, Voice of Indonesia, 1003-1015
A welcomed return to this frequency (9525.00 KHz).
At tune in, noted a few minutes of World News. This
was presented by a female in the English Language. At about 1007,
she gives ID as, you are listening to ... from the Voice of Indonesia.
At 1016, canned promos and ID ending the news. Although the program
was in the English language, there just wasn't enough fidelity with the
signal to get any type of copy. At 1024 the female gives ID and URL for
VOI.

The signal was poor with a lot of fading type noise during the period.
Note: Checked back at 1055 and found that they had moved up to
9525.95 KHz vice 9525 KHz which they were using at 1000 UTC.
This caused me to wonder? What was the reason? Was the shift due
to a malfunction or were they trying to get away from interference?
At 1100 Romania takes over 9525 KHz with their strong signal.
I can still hear Indonesia, but only weakly. Chuck Bolland, October 18,
2008)

Indonesia, 9680, RRI Jakarta Programa Lima, 1019-1030, General
conversation program here. At tune in, noted two females and a male in
Indonesian language coversation. The girls seemed to be having fun
judging from the tone and laughter of the talking. Signal was fair. (Chuck
Bolland, October 18, 2008)

Peru, 4746.77, Radio Huanta Dos Mil, 1026-1040, Late time may have
helped this signal. I checked this freq earlier and didn't hear much more
than a weak carrier; however, since 1026, I can hear some details here,
eventhough the signal is very poor. Noted a male in Spanish language live
comments. Naturally the CODAR is playing havoc with my hearing causing
my internal AGC to go wacky. So far, all details have been composed of
Spanish language comments - no music heard yet. At 1032, a female
comments briefly. Signal was poor with QRM. (Chuck Bolland, October
18, 2008)

Peru, 4835.52, Radio Maranon, 1035-1045, A slightly better signal this
morning. Noticed a male in Spanish language comments at first, but just
for a minute. At 1036, it sounded like recorded promos or ADs. Back to
live comments at 1038 then music which sounded like folk or local type
music. At 1042 live ID given, ... Peru was all I caught. Signal was
poor. (Chuck Bolland, October 18, 2008)

Re: [HCDX] Indonesia on 4874,6 kHz

2006-03-25 Thread Aart Rouw
Glenn/Jouko,
Here in SW Germany, RRI Sorong is a common catch at the indicated time.
The Song of the Coconut Island IS usually preceeds the national news at
the top of the hour. At the time you indicated (2130UTC), there is
sometimes a local IS and a local ID, also followed by news. I understand
too little Bahasa Indonesia to judge if this is national news or local.
If you would need the local IS to get an 100% ID, I must have it
somewhere on an audio file. Just let me know if it would help you.

Sorong and Wamena both vary around 4870; yes, that means news. A quick
search
of the DXLD archive found 4874.6 reported as Sorong, in 1-135, from a
band
survey 8/28-9/3/2001 by Roland Schulze, then in Philippines, and also
reported
as presumed Sorong on 4874.62 in 1-145, 8 October 2001. Strange there
have been
no reports since then, however (Glenn Hauser, DX LISTENING DIGEST)

Dear Jouko,

RRI Sorong was regularly heard by various DX-ers throughout 2005 on
4874,6 kHz with a few trips to 4871,1 kHz.

Please have a look at   www.dswci.org/tbm   { http://www.dswci.org/tbm }

2003-07-18 Thread Michael Schnitzer
Hello to all,

the European summer normally is not the season for DX to Indonesia and
Pacific. This year however seem to be unusual good conditions, also in the
summer time. An interesting fact is that four stations from the Indonesian
part of Papua can be heard at present. This evening RRI Serui came in with
surprisingly strong signal on 4605 kHz. Nice to hear the lovely music of
this exotic station. During the past days I could receive the following
Papua-stations between 20.00 and 21.00 UTC:

3905 RRI Merauke
4605 RRI Serui
4790 RRI Fak-Fak
4870 RRI Wamena

and some other ones:

3266.4 RRI Gorontalo
3344.9 RRI Ternate
4753.5 RRI Makassar
