Bolivia, 6134.845, Radio Santa Cruz, 0005-0020, At tune in noted a female
in Spanish language comments. Signal was fair but very muffled making copy
of details difficult. She is joined by a male at 0010 briefly, then music
is hard just for a few seconds. The male continues talking. Signal was
fair. (Chuck Bolland, September 20, 2012)

Bolivia, 4699.997, Radio San Miguel, 0016-0025, Noted a threshold signal
here with audio heard briefly before it faded into the noise. At 0017 heard
additional audio of a male in Spanish language. Nothing heard after 0025.

(Chuck Bolland, September 20, 2012)

Peru, 4810.097, Radio Logos, 0030-0045, With the usual QRM blanking most
of the frequency, heard steady Peruvian type music. A notch

filter was necessary to pull out the music however. Signal never improved
beyond being threshold. (Chuck Bolland, September 20, 2012)

It's a nice clear night here in

Bolivia, 6134.732, Radio Santa Cruz, 2310-2320, Noted
a weak signal here with a male in

weak, with a fair amount of tweeking,
it can be cleaned up to be pretty clearly heard. That
didn't last long when the signal began
to fade and around 2320 and music was presented.Still
into music at 2336, but signal very
poor. (Chuck Bolland, January 5, 2011)

Guinea, 4900, Familia FM, (Pres), 2300-2310, Tuned in
to a female in news or comments until
2305 at which time hilife type music is presented.
Believe the female was using French, but
can't be certain due to poor signal strength. Music
and comments continue, but signal
never improves. (Chuck Bolland, September 15, 2010)

United Kingdom, 5940, CVC International, (pres),
2315-2335, Noted a period of possibly religious
comments until 2325 when music presented. After music,
more comments at 2330. Signal is
very muffled making copy difficult. (Chuck Bolland,
September 15, 2010)

Peru, 6019.30, Radio Victoria, 2336-2345 At last Radio
Victoria alone on the this frequency for
awhile. With a lot of noise however, heard the usual
religious comments in Spanish. At 2338,
noted live Spanish comments from the announcer. Heard
the place names Lima and Santa
Cruz mentioned. At 2340 back to religious talk.
Signal was poor. (Chuck Bolland, September 15, 2010

Bolivia, 6134.86, Radio Santa Cruz, 2346-2359, Tried
notching out the interference with partial
success. Noted a female in Spanish language comments.
The band is starting to wakeup
during this time, which makes for a fun time. RSC was
at a fair level with splatter.
At 2349 a male comments over music. (Chuck Bolland,

2009-07-15 Thread ka4prf
Bolivia, 6155.12, Radio Fides, 2313-2330 Noted a male in steady Spanish
language comments. Signal hasn't fade in yet, there's still

plenty of daylight left here in Florida. Persons continue to converse
as a female joins in with Spanish chatter. At 2318 the signal improves
drastically as the front of the grayline passes over Bolivia according to
GeoClock. This pattern continues as the signal push up above the
noise and then drops back to nil heard just like a seesaw. Boy what
fun! At 2329 the audio has improved slightly making copy much easier.
(Chuck Bolland, July 15, 2009)

Peru, 6195.65, Radio Cusco, 2324-2335, So far the freq is clear of
any major stations and I can just hear program events from Cusco. Noted a
male in Spanish language very weak and not a solid

signal. The audio is fading in and out periodically. Overall the
station was threshold. (Chuck Bolland, July 15, 2009)

Bolivia, 6134.80, Radio Santa Cruz, 2333-2345, Noted a female in live
Spanish comments followed with canned promos briefly. More comments follow
from the female. At 2335 music is heard. Signal

was poor. (Chuck Bolland, July 15, 2009)

Although the three logs above aren't quality loggings because of poor
conditions, I felt they were significant because they provide some
proof that they're still active on their primary frequencies, and when
the sunspots or whatever it takes to get better conditions, begin; we
will know where to start our loggings search.

Bolivia, 5925.51, Emisoras Pio XII, 0145-0235 Turning in a good
report on this station. Initially noted two males in conversation using
the Spanish language. At 0152, probably just for a break, music is
presented. After one tune, the comments continue. On the hour, an
ID by a female. Caught a couple of words such as Bolivia Americani
then back to more talk. Signal began to fail from a good at 0145 to a
poor by 0215. Checked back at 0234 and station was still hanging in there
with a fair level. (Chuck Bolland, October 16, 2008)
