You have half the memory bandwidth and performance you could have, so that's bad, but you can buy a single 4GB dimm to add to it, get to 8 gigs and get dual 64bit (or does intel do single 128bit) memory channels. The old systems memory probably won't work. -Harry > > -Original Message- > From: Hardware [mailto:hardware-boun...@lists.hardwaregroup.com] On Behalf > Of DSinc > Sent: Monday, July 7, 2014 4:20 PM > To: HWG > Subject: [H] Fwd: New Desktop specs from OB > > > Collective, > The long road to replace my OB's desktop PC is over! Re: [H] Fwd: New Desktop specs from OB
Tim, 2 hours agomy OB called and we discussed raping his old PC for its 2x2GB of ram. I sorta tried to discuss the hows and whats of what he thought. I just donot comprehend all the choices we now have with 'Bank0 and Bank1.' I thought I got this years back, but now I am scratching for the new baseline. Still reading. :) Duncan On 07/07/2014 19:28, Tim Lider wrote: I would make it at least 8GB of RAM at the minimum. I would make it at least 8GB of RAM at the minimum. Other than that it looks good. -Original Message- From: Hardware [mailto:hardware-boun...@lists.hardwaregroup.com] On Behalf Of DSinc Sent: Monday, July 7, 2014 4:20 PM To: HWG Subject: [H] Fwd: New Desktop specs from OB Collective, The long road to replace my OB's desktop PC is over!
