Dear Jackie and Lisa,

I would also like to add my thanks to those who congratulated you on the
fabulous job you did organizing the conference. Great program, lots of
interesting presentations to choose from, and awesome keynotes. Many thanks
also to all the wonderful volunteers, as well as to all the committees.
Looking forward to next year's conference.

[ha-Safran] AJL Needs You!

2019-06-22 Thread Heidi Rabinowitz via Hasafran
At the Newcomers Welcome meeting at the AJL conference in LA, I shared this
list of opportunities to get involved with the organization. Now I'm
sharing them with all of you, because these are great opportunities for old
timers too!

We are seeking a new volunteer editor-in-chief of AJL News & Reviews!
(Laura Schutzman, laura.schutz...@gmail.com)

Also, the children’s book review editors are seeking an assistant to help
organize information in Google Docs. (Lisa Silverman, lisa.silver...@aju.edu
)

AJL’s treasurer is seeking an assistant, and she is happy to train any
interested person. (Holly Zimmerman, hzimmer...@aarp.org)

If you speak Spanish, you can contribute content or knowledge to AJL’s new
Spanish webpage. (Amalia Levi, amali...@gmail.com)

AJL is forming a committee to create an interactive map of institutions
with Judaica collections (Amalia Levi, amali...@gmail.com)

We need volunteers to work on the Jewish Values Finder database of
children’s literature (Heather Lenson, heatherlenso...@gmail.com)

Library Advocacy committee could use some help. (Amalia Warshenbrot,
amalia...@att.net)

group run by me and Susan Kusel (outgoing chair of Sydney Taylor Book Award
