Re: [hlds] Team Fortress 2 Update Coming

2008-07-08 Thread Blood Letter

From the emails, scheduled to be fixed in this patch:

- Flaregun exploit. (It's a bug, not an exploit. An exploit is an
unintentional consequence of a game mechanic that allows for typically unfair,
lame, or cheap advantages by those who know how to perform it. In terms of
security, this could only be considered a denial of service exploit since it
can take down clients/servers.)

- RCON crashes.

- Menu keypress issue.

- Goldrush spawn (people get hung up on the exit, but I've never seen it
myself).

- Hang/timeout issue between round switching.

I'm sure various memory leaks (related to the above and not) will be
fixed/improved as well.

[hlds] New DOD:s and SourceMOD Help

2008-07-08 Thread Greg Williams
This is a desperate plea for help. Do any of you have the New DOD:s running
stable with sourcemod?

It ran fairly stable throughout the beta for me, but now it crashes many times
a day. I have tried several different versions also..

I do not want to use anything other than sourcemod. Due to running it on
multiple games, and I just plain like it. But I need to start looking for
alternatives I suppose.

It ran fairly stable throughout the beta for me, but now it crashes many

I do not want to use anything other than sourcemod. Due to running it on
multiple games, and I just plain like it. But I need to start looking for

We've released a fix for people having problems with the
/scripts/talker/tf.txt file preventing their server from starting. Run
the update again to get the change.

Sorry for the problems.

Re: [hlds] New DOD:s and SourceMOD Help

2008-07-08 Thread Greg Williams
Do you mind shooting me off the list? I have used versions after 2333. I
thought maybe is was one of my plugins, so i disabled all but the default
ones.. Still no go.

Just curious about your setup..

Any release after v2333 is good.

Virtual function offsets probably changed, there will be a SourceMod update
 to make it work.

 Never fear.

This is a desperate plea for help. Do any of you have the New DOD:s
 running stable with sourcemod?

It ran fairly stable throughout the beta for me, but now it crashes many
times a day. I have tried several different versions also..

I do not want to use anything other than sourcemod. Due to running it on
multiple games, and I just plain like it. But I need to start looking for
 alternatives I suppose.

Re: [hlds] Team Fortress 2 Update Released

2008-07-08 Thread Eric Smith
There appears to be a problem with the updater that's preventing people
from getting the correct version of the file. We're looking into it,
but in the meantime you can fix this by deleting your local copy and
running the update again.

Thanks for your patience.

[hlds] Regarding Fixed 32 player servers not working correctly with SourceTV enabled

2008-07-08 Thread 1nsane
The update news say - Fixed 32 player servers not working correctly with
SourceTV enabled

So I thought I should add Source TV back to my server. Added Source TV
joined server (no bogus slot error while connecting/no crash) picked a team
joined a class. BOOM Server explodes, cites Assertion Failure.

It makes 2 memory dumps and dies. I could send em... but it's very easy to
replicate.

Fix plox!

Update to the newest snapshot of SourceMod. If you're already done that,
make sure plugins that are using OnClientConnect() are returning
true to allow clients to connect.
