[hlds] TF2 players deliberately lagging?
The latest week or so I've seen quite a few players with low ping that appears to lag heavily, teleporting all over the place while they still not seem to have trouble moving or shooting. Is this a bug, players that always lag for some reason and just gotten used to it or are they cheating? Since they got low ping and are still performing well only they are mighty hard to hit so I'm thinking the latter and after seeing this post at the TF2 forums there might very well be idiots like this guy using it. What is the cause and how can it be prevented, besides banning? Forcing rates perhaps? http://forums.steampowered.com/forums/showthread.php?t=951018 ___ To unsubscribe, edit your list preferences, or view the list archives, please visit: http://list.valvesoftware.com/mailman/listinfo/hlds
Re: [hlds] TF2 players deliberately lagging?
Is this the same bug where you can set your *rate* to a specific value, you evade rate enforcers, sv_min_rate, sv_max_rate, etc. and your ping appears be to be 0. Can't remember the value exactly but I bet ZBlock have got it covered :0 Thanks, - Saul. 2009/8/28 Donnie Newlove donnie.newl...@gmail.com The latest week or so I've seen quite a few players with low ping that appears to lag heavily, teleporting all over the place while they still not seem to have trouble moving or shooting. I 2nd this suggestion. I use msleeper's l4d stats plugin as well. It's easy to setup and works well. On Fri, Aug 28, 2009 at 3:45 PM, Rick Payton r...@mai-hawaii.com wrote: I 2nd this suggestion. Re: [hlds] L4D Stats recommendations
we used his stats for several months, but we started to see performance issues with the websites hosted on the same box. Not a huge deal, just slower website loads. Worked great until the db got huge. I would definitely give it a shot to see if you like it. I was using early builds, so it may have been optimized since then Thank you, Alec Sanger P: 248.941.3813 F: 313.286.8945 Date: Fri, 28 Aug 2009 15:53:46 -0700 From: naslund.fan...@gmail.com To: hlds@list.valvesoftware.com Subject: Re: [hlds] L4D Stats recommendations I use msleeper's l4d stats plugin as well.
