[hlds] Brink Dedicated Server Update

2011-11-29 Thread William 'Smooth' Richens
Hey,

A quick heads up that we're hoping to roll out a small Brink server update
(6mb) in the next few hours.

This update fixes dedicated servers not reporting data to the Brink stats site.

[hlds] BRINK Dedicated Server Update

2011-08-03 Thread Matt 'Anti' Lowe
Hi folks,

I'm just e-mailing to make you aware that in a few hours' time we'll be
deploying an update for the BRINK dedicated server and client, to coincide with
the launch of the 'Agents of Change' downloadable content. We aim to deploy the
server update around 30 minutes before the client updates will go out, to give
you time to prepare your servers.

We'll send another e-mail to the group once the deployment begins.

Thanks,
Matt

That wasn't in there earlier, as I've been using -verify_all every time :).

For all gsp's using tcadmin the temporary solution is:

- create the bat file
- enter the fullpath to .exe + arguments
- save somewhere

Edit the tcadmin service and point it to the bat.
Working here.

Game server will start when fired up by using command prompt, however when

Don't know if this is a tcadmin or Brink problem since until this patch tcadmin
would start the server without any hassle.

2011-07-18 Thread Flubber
A lot of good things in this update, but it should have been released a week
after the game release, too bad this game is now dead. I had 5 servers all
full, since those are empty all the time we stop them for 2 weeks,
fortunately you sold brink very well, but in return you lost the respect of
a lot of players who won't buy it next time.

2011-07-18 Thread Goran

Hello,

Probably we are talking about the same thing.
Game server will start when fired up by using command prompt, however
when using tcadmin game panel server won't boot up.

Don't know if this is a tcadmin or Brink problem since until this patch
tcadmin would start the server without any hassle.

If anyone has a similar problem and a possible fix let me know.

[hlds] BRINK Dedicated Server Update

2011-07-05 Thread William 'Smooth' Richens
Hey,

We've just released a small hotfix for the BRINK Dedicated Server, addressing
an issue with physics commands not being synched to all clients. Among other
things, this would sometimes result in inconsistent player movement (such as
crouching).

Apologies for the lack of notice!

500MB instead of the previous 1.2GB.

A full change list will be posted on our websitehttp://www.splashdamage.com/

[hlds] Brink dedicated server update shortly

2011-05-13 Thread Matt 'Anti' Lowe
Hey folks,

We'll be sending out a new version of the Brink dedicated server on Steam
within the next hour, ahead of a client patch about an hour later than that.
This update will fix the net_ip issue that has been preventing some of you from
hosting.

The update will increment the game version, so the servers will have to be
updated if they are to support the newer client version that will be released
later.

Thanks,
Matt

Hi,

Will do, server should be released in about 30 minutes, I will update when it's
live and when the client patch is live.

Unfortunately due to a media update this is a full server download of 1.3GB,
we're working to fix our server patching system so that future patches are much
smaller (like the client patches we do). It should only be this one where you
folks will suffer the larger download.

Thanks,

*Subject:* [hlds] Brink dedicated server update shortly

 Hey folks,

We’ll be sending out a new version of the Brink dedicated server on Steam
within the next hour, ahead of a client patch about an hour later than that.
This update will fix the net_ip issue that has been preventing some of you
 from hosting.

The update will increment the game version, so the servers will have to be
updated if they are to support the newer client version that will be
 released later.

 Thanks,

 Matt

Hi folks,

The new server is only partially deployed across the Steam network but it is
now live, so you should be able to grab it.

Thanks,
Matt

Meh, if it fixes the issues I've been having 1.3 GB is fine. ;-)

Thanks,
Matt

Thanks Matt, if you could give us a heads up when the client update goes live,
so we can roll out the update, that would be appreciated.

Steve
