We have private tf2 servers eating 1200mb of ram... Such an high memory usage isn't due to (not) statically linked libraries... but it's caused by bugged source tv the is leaking so much ram ... Please don't break CentOS 5.6. I'm pretty sure many hosters use this distro. Upgrading to CentOS 6 is afaik not possible and a re-installation is a pain in the ass!
