[Hugin-devs] [Bug 1022213] Re: PTBatcherGUI: Does not come to an end
I think a more detailed description and maybe a .pto file would be great. I'd like to try this step by step on my Mac. Never saw this happening. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Hugin Developers, which is subscribed to Hugin. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1022213 Title: PTBatcherGUI: Does not come to an end Status in Hugin - Panorama Tools GUI: Incomplete Bug description: I use the most recent version of Hugin (1011.4.0), under Mac OS X 10.7.4. When I call 'Erstellen des Panoramas' (= 'build panorama'?) with 'Alle Dateien' (= 'all files'?) sometimes the resulting JPG-photo is not stored. And sometimes it is! And in all cases PTBatcherGUI does not come to a normal end; OS X says 'PTBatcherGUI does not respond'. By the way: The preview shows the correct result of the stitch. What can be the reason??? [Hugin-devs] [Bug 679983] Re: Enable drag-and-drop of picture files
Drag and drop as described above indeed doesn't work in the Assistant tab on OS X. However, it does work in the second (Images) tab: the list area accepts dropping image files on it. So this is a (non intuitive) workaround. So for the OS X build (whoever is willing and able to do that in the future) we'd probably need an active area that accepts images to be dropped on it. Another valid approach would be to let the program icon accept image files to be dropped on it: - if application is closed or already open with a new, empty project - add images - if an open project already contains images ask user if new files should be added to current project or save current pto and start new project with these files. Please note that there seems (or seemed) to be a bug when dragging directly from within iPhoto into hugin: http://wiki.panotools.org/Hugin_FAQ#OS_X_and_iPhoto -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Hugin Developers, which is subscribed to Hugin. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/679983 Title: Enable drag-and-drop of picture files Status in Hugin - Panorama Tools GUI: Incomplete Bug description: The first step in the hugin workflow is to open the files that you want to stitch. [Hugin-devs] [Bug 968466] Re: Hugin crashes, when I try to create a *.jpg file
I remember some strange error with a friend's Mac which wasn't willing to display one of my then ptviewer driven panoramas. When I visited him and tried myself on his Mac OS 9 computer I suddenly realized that he (as a creative guy) had renamed his HD from the preset Macintosh HD to something like wild data ™ because he had found out where the (tm) symbol was on his keyboard and thought this was pretty cool. [Hugin-devs] [Bug 892508] [NEW] redundant columns in project list of PTBatcherGUI
Public bug reported: Usually (i.e. using defaults in Hugins stitch dialog) both project file and output files are located in the same folder. If that's the case both columns Project and Output prefix in the project list of PTBatcherGUI display almost the same information: each shows the complete path to the project while Project shows the pto extension and Output prefix hides it. A more concise presentation would rearrange order (first file, then path) and omit the path in the second column if both paths are identical, e.g. like this: Project column: project-name.pto (in /path/to/my/project/in/progress/) Output prefix column: output-prefix If both paths differ then only the relative difference of the second path is shown, e.g. like this: Project column: project-name.pto (in /path/to/my/project/in/progress/) Output prefix column: output-prefix (in ../../stitched/) Another approach would be to only show the path as 'help text' when hovering with the mouse over one of these columns. Also, PTBatcherGUI doesn't remember column widths set by the user. Preset column width is absurd, i.e. too long for ID and too short for some other columns. An automatic approach to set the width according to the content would be nice to have. If the user sets the width this should be remembered by PTBatcherGUI. Current behaviour is observed in recent versions of Hugin / PTBatcherGUI on Mac OS X using a 1600x1200 display, on smaller screens (e.g. laptops) this might be rather annoying. ** Affects: hugin Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: ptbatchergui ui -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Hugin Developers, which is subscribed to Hugin. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/892508 Title: redundant columns in project list of PTBatcherGUI Status in Hugin - Panorama Tools GUI: New Bug description: Usually (i.e. using defaults in Hugins stitch dialog) both project file and output files are located in the same folder. [Hugin-devs] [Bug 814002] Re: error on stitching
Hi danteneo, what looks like Bruno's remarks about security vulnerability and visibility is only a status change he did for your bug. Bruno's second message addresses your problem. Note that hugin is basically a user interface that uses several independent command line tools to actually do the work. To function properly these tools require a working exchange of information about the files that you want to stitch. So please check the link Bruno provided and follow the hints there. The makefile you have attached shows that something is wrong with the path to your files: they seem to be stored directly on your desktop, right? Check your image names, some of them seem to contain special characters (see the list of input images in the makefile, it doesn't list several images). BTW do the files have proper extensions like .jpg or .tif? If not, please add that. Public bug reported: Beginning with Hugin 2010.2.0 the following doesn't work as expected: - load some images (no matter if through Assistant or Images tab) - in CameraLens tab apply a lens ini file that contains [Lens/crop] values on one image - this should be inherited on all other images that have the same lens number The Crob tab of Hugin 2010.2.0 only lists correct crop coordinates and center d,e value for the one image for that the ini was loaded. [Hugin-devs] [Bug 794087] Re: OSX 10.6 doesn't stich
Hi Thomas, the newer version 2011.0.0 is already available, http://hugin.sourceforge.net/ has release notes and a download link. Your three images have different exposure, I guess you just try to align and enfuse a hand held bracketed shot, right? I'm not sure why enblend would be needed for that anyway. What output file options did you select in the last tab? Or do you just use the Assistant? Your log says enblend: unknown option -U Try enblend --help for more information. gnumake: *** [-Users-ninavilliger-Desktop-IMG_8147-IMG_8151.tif] Error 1 That's an output file name that doesn't work and is unfortunately suggested by Hugin. Disable that setting in the Preferences - General - Project name [ ] based on path name (or something similar). Or just make sure you choose a different file name... Please just use the workaround as described earlier then. It's simple. I tested it on my OS X 10.5 on a different partition and it works. BTW I still do most of my work on 10.4 so I understand the decision to keep a working 'playground' well enough. You can search the mailing list for Harry's postings about the problem: his own hugin builds currently just don't work on 10.5, we have to live with it, it's a won't fix if you yourself aren't able to compile a working build yourself. [Hugin-devs] [Bug 697039] Re: Error during stitching
TORO, please use the workaround as this seems to be a specific problem on OS X 10.5. Note that the current bundles are built on a 10.6 system and for some yet unknown reason these builts work also on 10.4 but not on 10.5. Your other options at this point would be IMHO to either upgrade to 10.6 (if you are on Intel), set up a 10.4 partition (if on PPC), or build yourself: http://wiki.panotools.org/Hugin_Compiling_OSX -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Hugin Developers, which is subscribed to Hugin. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/697039 Title: Error during stitching Status in Hugin - Panorama Tools GUI: Incomplete Bug description: I am using Hugin 2010.4.10 on Mac OS 10.5.8. [Hugin-devs] [Bug 707309] Re: filenames badly sorted - destroys multirow technique
Note that the provided example file names sort nicely in the Finder of OS X (no1, no2, no3, ..., no10, no11, ...) and should also do so in Windows Explorer and also in file mangers of other systems. So I think this should work just like in standard file mangers: consecutive numbers should be regarded as one multi-digit number, see attached screenshot. BTW I really like your idea to include creation dates into the import order sorting routine. Even if this wouldn't work with e.g. scans. ** Attachment added: Sort order behaviour in Finder (file manager of Mac OS X) https://bugs.launchpad.net/hugin/+bug/707309/+attachment/1806041/+files/SortOrder_MacOSX-Finder.png -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Hugin Developers, which is subscribed to Hugin. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/707309 Title: filenames badly sorted - destroys multirow technique Status in Hugin - Panorama Tools GUI: New Bug description: I have 18 images from an HTC Desire (very popular phone, and a decent camera) these are the filenames, as sorted by Hugin: no1, no10, no11, no12, no13, no14, no15, no16, no17, no18, no2, no3, no4, no5, no6, no7, no8, no9 This could obviously create some issues if stitching with multirow mode on. [Hugin-devs] [Bug 697581] Re: drag and drop images only works on 2nd tab, not 1st
I just tested the Assistant tab of the 2010.4.0 version for Mac. It definitely doesn't accept drag and drop. The 1. Load images... seems to highlight when dragging images over it but still no image is loaded. A quick workaround could be to simply rephrase to something like this: Please load images by either pressing on the '1. Load images...' button or drag your images in the file list of the 'Images' tab. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Hugin Developers, which is subscribed to Hugin. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/697581 Title: drag and drop images only works on 2nd tab, not 1st Status in Hugin - Panorama Tools GUI: New Bug description: On the first tab project assistant there is a button to load images. [Hugin-devs] [Bug 695420] Re: Add Color Management to Hugin
Could http://www.littlecms.com/ be useful to implement color management? -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Hugin Developers, which is subscribed to Hugin. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/695420 Title: Add Color Management to Hugin Status in Hugin - Panorama Tools GUI: New Bug description: (Note: I'm also posting this to the Hugin gmail group) I've been playing with RPP (http://www.raw-photo-processor.com/RPP/Overview.html) for RAW conversion preliminary to generating panoramas with Hugin (most recently Harry van der Wolf's OSX build of 2010.4.0-beta2); and running into problems with the color space. RPP generates TIFF files in the BetaRGB color space; and using these files directly in Hugin I find two problems: 1) The panomatic control point generator barfs on these - Exception Type: EXC_CRASH (SIGABRT) in the crash logs ( I can provide details if you like). I can generate control points manually, or with autopano-sift; and the alignment and distortion optimization runs as expected. 2) The expoure optimization generally leads to absurd results; usually a strong horizontal exposure gradient, and if I try white balance optimization then the resulting panorama reminds my of my experiments in recreational pharmacology many decades ago. I can work around this by converting the files from BetaRGB to ProPhoto (e.g. in Photoshop, that being what I'm most familiar with), after which Hugin handles them with no problems. But this is a pain when I have hundreds of images to deal with. It's not clear if these are bugs or just a case of input that Hugin (or its components) weren't designed to handle; outside of RPP I haven't run across BetaRGB anywhere else. And I don't know the underlying math well enough to know whether adding support for this is a trivial fix or a major overhaul. If this is a bug, I can provide lots of detail; if it's a missing feature, please consider this a feature request. ___ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~hugin-devs Post to : hugin-devs@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~hugin-devs More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp

[Hugin-devs] [Bug 685224] [NEW] save / load CP generator settings doesn't work
Public bug reported: Applies to Harry's new beta2 of Hugin-2010.4.0 bundle as of 4 Dec 2010. - clicking Export in Prefs - CP Detectors if no entry is selected opens a file dialog that assumes that a setting could be exported. Instead, the Export button should be greyed if no entry is selected - the 'Export' file dialog doesn't add the necessary '.setting' to a file name. This extension is needed for the 'import' file dialog to accept a file. Furthermore it might make sense to automatically use the description of the actual setting to name the settings file together with a date/time stamp, e.g. cpfind-101204-1721.settings - Exported settings files are empty, so nothing will be imported yet (I also opened an exported .setting file with a text editor to make sure it's really empty). - What will happen if I import a settings file with the same description (but different arguments) I already have in my prefs? Do I get the chance to rename it (favoured) or will it overwrite an existing setting (bad)? ** Affects: hugin Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Hugin Developers, which is subscribed to Hugin. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/685224 Title: save / load CP generator settings doesn't work Status in Hugin - Panorama Tools GUI: New Bug description: Applies to Harry's new beta2 of Hugin-2010.4.0 bundle as of 4 Dec 2010. - clicking Export in Prefs - CP Detectors if no entry is selected opens a file dialog that assumes that a setting could be exported.
