It seems there was a mix up at the oversight board meeting. (
http://meeting.sugarlabs.org/sugar-meeting/2015-10-05  ) Do you have a new ETA
on Mr. Holt's report?

A person who attended the meeting or read the minutes rather than make
groundless speculations might think that the oversight board is
concerned that the election committee is failing to meet its deadlines
and consequently appointed a liaison to expedite the process. A person
who attended the meeting or read the minutes would also note that
progress in being made on the new website and feedback has been
requested.

I don't know about the election, but there has been progress regarding the
membership process. Kudos to Samson, Caryl, and Sebastian for improving
that process. I expect that Adam will report in at the next SLOB meeting,
which is Monday, 5 Oct.

The meeting log seems to support the speculation that the election process has
stalled.

Two and a half months passed without movement.  When appointed the task, Mr.
Holt gave a response the he would talk to ' Caryl Bigenho and others.' Since
then, two more weeks have passed without  public signs of progress from either
Ms. Bigenhho or Mr. Holt.

2015-09-24 Thread samson goddy
Good Day,

On behalf of the membership committee, i will say the election is till intact.
Plus i, Sebastian
and Caryl had a meeting on Facebook yesterday. We discuss about maintaining the
membership list, so we could have a good communication with our members. Also
we discussed about giving intending members to apply through this process
http://wiki.sugarlabs.org/go/Sugar_Labs/Members#Applying_for_membership . In
conclusion i am a happy to say that the election is in good hands.

Best regards
