Hi Bill,
VTOC Command Processor! (CBT File 112).
It has all kinds of filters and even lets you search by partial DSNAME
(not starting at the beginning.)

I have a number of Batch to do stuff like this. PM me if you want examples.

David

Looks like you are using GMAIL , so try this

Click Gmail Settings (gear at the top right)
Under the General tab, check Conversation View settings.
You can turn them off or on by clicking the appropriate radio button, and
click on SAVE at the bottom of the page.

Thanks,
Kolusu

That depends on the e-mail software that you're using and the options that you
have set. Are you using the gmail webmail? Listserv? A local client?

Or once you find out how much space the SMPPTS needs, you could potentially
migrate 1 or more large datasets to free up space temporarily. Then restore
the SMPPTS, accept the maintenance you can (with purge to delete the accepted
PTFs from the PTS), compress then free space in the PTS to downsize it. That
might free up enough space to restore the other datasets you just migrated.

On a side note, when replying, you might want to leave the original messages so
that your responses have context behind them - for posterity. :-)

If you have FDREPORT from IDP/Compuware/BMC, that's a good tool.

If you need multiple HLQ's then you can get the information from DCOLLECT.
You run DCOLLECT and use an utility to strip the data you are interested in.

Bill,

If you are intending to get large candidates, it is quite simple to do it
in ISPF

in 3.4 bring up the dataset list with

HLQ.*

and issue the command SORT TRACKS D

This will sort the list with tracks in the descending order. So the large
allocations should be at the top.

You can also save this list of dataset with the command SAVE MYLIST

It will save the listing to USERID.MYLIST.DATASETS

You can run LISTCAT in batch with LEVEL on HLQ and get all the details and
have another program to strip off the space allocation data. File-manager
can also be used.

Thanks,
Kolusu

Hi Bill,

I'm assuming you're trying to figure out how big the migrated SMPPTS dataset is
for restoring it. Use an HSM HLIST command for that. Easiest is in ISPF 3.4,
just enter

hlist dsn(/)

on the line with the dataset name you want to see. You should get something
like this back.

DSN=RRP.MY.DATASET.NAME  MIGVOL=A66864 DSO=PS  SDSP=NO

 LAST REF=21/03/31 MIG=21/03/31 TRKS=0165 2K BLKS= *** TIMES MIG= 1

  16K BLKS=000471 LAST MIGVOL=*NONE*
