Yes, but I have seen a layout artist (not a DTP operator) doing layout of a magazine using CorelDraw. And he used to do a fantastic job, but was rather expensive. I know, because I used to help run it. But it was English, not Malayalam. Best -- V. [fsug-tvm] Re: [OT] Questions we face and a honest self analysis
About pagination s/w @Sasi Kumar Correl Draw is used to design brochures and the like and also in advertisement release. For regular pagination stuff that we do in news papers and magazines, the most used s/w are Quark Express, Pagemaker and Indesign. @Santhosh Malayalam hyphenation is not done manually in pagemaker 7. There are several work around(s) for the same. A little editing in the ASCII font, automatic space correcting using Cntrl+M>Alt+S, adjusting font parameters, etc will do the trick in it. --~--~-~--~~~---~--~~ "Freedom is the only law". Junise For NIS and NFS the start up priority can be controlled via rc2.d . Has your NIS NFS setup worked ? I really doubt whether you could load any app before gnome-panel using any gnome config files. But try using "nice -n 1 " in the command field of start up application preferences >From outside of Gnome, there is another way to make it autoload : see link [1] Here I think you can probably achieve the goal using nice -n 1 command prefixed like : Exec=nice -n 1 "xbmc -fs" [1] http://github.com/neuros/neuroslink-default-settings-nvidia/blob/c20a4cb11053ae2b4b989c61f802ed7dcf40ea0e/etc/xdg/autostart/xbmc.desktop HTH Thanks, Dennis --~--~-~--~~~---~--~~ "Freedom is the only law". If you have the start up tone, your sound card is detected. Now go to System>Preferences>Sound Check different combination to get the sound. I had some problem with my volume controller. [fsug-tvm] Re: [OT] Good Camera Brand
I myself have a Canon EOS 350D and I appreciate their technology. But if you are in Kerala, its better to use Nikon products for two reasons. First one is climatic. In the high humidity of Kerala, the lenses are more likely to be infected with fungus. Nikon lenses inhibits more resistance to fungi. Second is availability of premium service. More service personals are accustomed with Nikon than Canon in Kerala. But if you are living somewhere with less humidity, I would recommend using Canon. --~--~-~--~~~---~--~~ "Freedom is the only law".
