For syntax highlighting you can always use gedit. I have used it for my C++
code submission assignments and find it cool.

[fsug-tvm] Firefox issues

>From a few days, my firefox is not working well. It contains a large
amount of history and bookmarks.

#it always starts with its default pages. (mozilla start page and
search page). Even after i've changed it to google, does not comes in
action.

#the awe some address bar is almost dead now. It does not show the
auto complete. It could not navigate to an address if i typed in and
pressed enter (or CTRL+ENTR).

#the search box is blank. And does not contains any search provider

#all tabs in add on page is blank now. I could not configure my themes
and extensions...

Anyone know whats happened to it? I dont want to loose my history and
bookmarks... The problem persist even after reinstalling FF.

Is there any way to backup all my history to a file or else?

Nooo...
I dont want location bar...
I was asking about that tool which displays location of nautilus more
conveniently. It creates individual buttons for each folder we
opens... We can go to any previous directory by clicking on the
curresponding buttons on it...

Hi,

I'm at the end of my college project. It's time for to start the report
work. I'm using Ubuntu 10.04 with OpenOffcie 3.2.

My project is in PHP. Also, the report has to include 'DFD'. So, there may
be some simple diagrams. So, what I have to use? openoffice writer or
impress? Also, i want to include the full source code in the report neatly
with syntax highlighting.

Please anyone help me with good suggestions. I have no time, the deadline is
next week.

[fsug-tvm] Problems in nautilus

[Vyshakh]

I've installed Lucid Lynux.
When ever i drag something over a nautilus window, lines with various
colors are appeared in the space in nautilus. Also the icons for files
and folders are highlighted with random unpleasent colors when a
folder is opened or a minimised window get maximised.

There colors are erased when we drag and draws a selection rectangle
in nautilus window.

I've never faced these like problems in any of the earlier versions of ubuntu...

[fsug-tvm] Nautilus issues

I've removed the tool bar in Nautilus which indicates the current
directory using buttons for each folders. It was at the position of
location bar. I dont know how i've done this!
Please help me to get that helpful item back...

In ubuntu9.10, there was a button along with it which allows to switch
to location mode... But in lucid,  that button is missing...

i have a great feeling webm will soon replace all proprietary codecs..
just look at all the companies who have come in support for the
