Not only Buchanania lanzan but we also found saplings of white butea monosperma, Eleocarpus Ganitrus (rudraksh), sterculia urens, mitragyna parviflora (krishna kadam) and many others. On our way back we were driving through a reserve forest on National Highway 12 and suddenly we came across this frangrance ( like that of Michelia Champaka) which appeared to be coming from all directions. [efloraofindia:39678] One more video of bees hovering over the flowers of delonix regia
Hi, One more video showing how the flowers attract insects by variation in the colour of petals. The flowers of Delonix regia are very attractive. But what is attractive to human eyes ( the scarlet coloured petals) is probably not so attractive for insects. U vil notice in the video that bees are mainly attracted towards the largest petal of the flower which is marked with yellow and white. the video is taken at Tadgaum, near Vapi in the month of June 2010. the link is below. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bk3CfIk88es Cheers, Shubhada I am only one; but still I am one. Re: [efloraofindia:39679] One more video of bees hovering over the flowers of delonix regia
Once again good observation and nice video. I am not aware whether there is facility of uploading such important films available in our database or not? If there is space, then it must be uploaded there. Keeping video in personal site is bit difficult. I purchased 8 GB space for pankajoudhia.com and then when requested to upgrade it up to 20 GB the service provider instructed me to remove videos. Now I have to shift to another server. regards Pankaj Oudhia On Tue, Jun 29, 2010 at 12:11 AM, shubhada nikharge shubhada_nikha...@yahoo.co.in wrote: Hi, One more video showing how the flowers attract insects by variation in the colour of petals.
