leaves.
There is a good park with a waterbody near Shegaon. I remember having seen
a lot of good plants there with many many butterflies enjoying nectar from
the flowers. A great sight to watch.

Though I have not seen the plant it seems to be a common plant in
Maharashtra too.
The trifoliate leaf and its decription in the text given by you is visible
in your picture.
Additionally the calyx teeth exceeds the tube here and the pods are 2
seeded hairy velvety and of course there are few varieties with some
difference in characters which obviously you are knowing but I am writing
here just for some others.

Interesting plant
Appears to be a climber with trifoliate leaves. Terminal inflorescence;
hairy ; with many flowers BLUE. The name of the genus Atylosia has been
changed for some plants I suppose. Can't comment on the ID as I am not

Similar to *Crotolaria pallida* seen in Maharashtra with trifoliate leaves
and similar big terminal bright yellow racemes. The flowers have peculiar

Yes *Alysicarpus belgaumensis* indeed.
I think there are those typical tiny white spots on the Vexilum which are
constant in all the pictures of *Alysicarpus belgaumensis* (Of course
flower colour and other characters matter)and the pattern of the pedicel
angle too

Yes, the seeds are known to be poisonous, though the leaves are one of the
main ingredients of *paan*.

Also discussed in earlier posts, is the use of रती *rati* seeds by
goldsmiths in the past as unit of weight.

I could observe the winged petiole characteristic of *Desmodium
triquetrum*but was wondering different nature of the leaves .Then
realised you
have written it as ssp.pseudotriquetrum. That may be the difference.
