[IRCA] 963 audio
It took its sweet time, but 963 has fair audio in Victoria at 0511UT. Easy going vocal pop mx followed by man talking. Presumably Lithuanian? I certainly didn't recognize it. A pity there doesn't seem to be a web stream for Radio 86. I'd noticed the same thing at that time Walt, easily overpowering the IBOC noise I have on that channel. A bit weaker now, but still not bad. 963 kHz is back tonight at 0420 UTC with a Barbra Streisand song. I cannot tell which one, but it is buried in the 960 splash. Maybe the signal will improve. Patrick, Colin just emailed me 30 seconds ago. We both noted that conditions were way down tonight compared to the last several. Conditions here were definitely down on the last few nights too. Heard audio on 1215 and 1377 earlier. Walt, I am surprised as you guys to the North just about always get the TAs better than I do. I would guess Finland, but it never surfaced enough to hear the language. I did catch a female ancr though. The last time I caught Finland 963 good enough to really copy was some years back during Christmas and they were playing back to back Christmas music, but no ID that time either. Lots of splatter from 960 though, from CFAC/KALE. Very nice reception of 963 at 06:02. Darn, but I missed the TOH for an ID. Singing by a female. Language unknown. Are we all certain that it is Finland? I see that it should be Radio 86 in Lithuanian. Style of the music, I suppose, matches. 1215 is also present, but really comes and goes. Presumably Absolute Radio. Hi Nick. Looking/waiting for TPs here in ECNA I was hearing 855-Spain until after 0900utc which struck me as kind of late. I was hoping to hang on to my 963 station until 0700, but Pori sunrise is 0645, and it did its last dive about 5 minutes before the hour. Interesting, I was listening to 963 and all of a sudden at 03:45 (like a lightswitch) up came CRI in RR from Pori, Finland with a CC lesson in Russian. Neat. About the strongest TA station now at 8 to 8.5 level in Victoria. A good S7 to S9 on the meter. All this at 04:42. Also hearing what is presumably the Faroe Islands on 531 with lots of music about 20 minutes ago. Couldn't find an internet feed for that one. Anyone have a reliable source for internet feeds for MW stations?
