Re: [IRCA] Michigan Asian TPs, October 29th, 2018
NW would work and you'd have more of a mix of TP and DU in these cx, and some differences in QRM. TP's worse here this morning and while detectable if I got any audio is was very weak and only on 747 which might just be Aussie as several usuals were audible at my SR 1221. 1205.96 had a carrier but no audio today from China. 73 KAZ 35 miles NW of Chicago On Tue, Oct 30, 2018 at 10:15 AM Mark Pettifor wrote: > > If someone pointed a DKAZ northwest, they'd have the best of both, eh? > > 73, > Mark Pettifor > Land o' Goshen, IN > > On 2018-10-30 7:30 am, Neil Kazaross wrote: > > 1017 was Tonga here in IL but not strong at about 1223. Re: [IRCA] Michigan Asian TPs, October 29th, 2018
Tim, that must be exciting. Wow, 972 comes in as well as it often does into Victoria! Very nice. I totally understand your excitement. When I first heard Europe, the Middle East and Africa from Masset (and Victoria as well), I was absolutely blown away. The TPs became almost ho-hum compared to what was heard from much further away, and over the Pole! 73,Walt Salmaniw On Tue, Oct 30, 2018 at 2:58 AM Tim Tromp wrote: > Rare Asian signals were back again in Michigan this morning but perhaps > down slightly from yesterday's surreal DX session: > > 693 JOAB Tokyo, Japan with man and woman speaking at 1203 UTC, // 774. > > 747 JOIB Sapporo, Japan with man and woman speaking at 1205 UTC, // 774 > > 774 JOUB Akita, Japan with man speaking with fair audio at 1157 UTC, NHK > time pips at 1200 UTC. > > 972 HLCA with unbelievable armchair copy at 1146 UTC.
