AL- ALEEM The All-Knowing
Both East and West belong to Allah, so wherever you turn, the Face of Allah is there. Allah is All-Encompassing, All-Knowing. (Surat al-Baqara, 2:115)
After people begin to think, they start to learn and, over time, accumulate more and more knowledge. Some specialize in certain fields, such as physics, philosophy, or history. All of this knowledge relates to the verb to know, as we understand it. However, this verb also has a dimension that is far beyond humanity's grasp: how Allah knows things.
Allah, being the Creator, holds the knowledge of the heavens, Earth, and every being in between, as well as of all the laws regulating the universe and anything that happens, regardless of time or place. Moreover, His knowledge is boundless, for He knows the names of all new-born babies at any moment, every leaf falling from every tree, what will happen to each star in each galaxy, whatever happens in space at any moment, what is hidden in every living thing's DNA, and an infinite number of other things.
We must always keep the following fact in mind: In addition to what has been mentioned above, Allah knows all of our thoughts and our most secret acts. We assume that we alone are aware of our feelings, thoughts, or distress. But this is a delusion, for Allah, Who holds complete control over every point of the universe, knows what is in each person's mind and everything else. Indeed, the Qur'an informs us about Allah's infinite knowledge:
You will not attain true goodness until you give of what you love. Whatever you give away, Allah knows it. (Surah Al Imran, 3:92)
Do you not see that everyone in the heavens and Earth glorifies Allah, as do the birds with their outspread wings? Each one knows its prayer and glorification. Allah knows what they do. (Surat an-Nur, 24:41)
And the sun runs to its resting place. That is the decree of the Almighty, the All-Knowing. (Surah Ya Sin, 36:38)
See how they wrap themselves round, trying to conceal their feelings from Him! No, indeed! When they wrap their garments round themselves, He knows what they keep secret and what they make public. He knows what their hearts contain. (Surah Hud, 11:5)
But they will never ever long for it, because of what they have done. Allah knows the wrongdoers. (Surat al-Baqara, 2:95)
You did not kill them; it was Allah Who killed them. You did not throw when you threw; it was Allah Who threw: so He might test the believers with this excellent trial from Him. Allah is All-Hearing, All-Knowing. (Surat al-Anfal, 8:17)

So Ubayy said, "I testify that the Messenger of Allah informed me that Jibril said to him, [Þõáú ÃóÚõæÐõ ÈöÑóÈøö ÇáúÝóáóÞö ] (Say: "I seek refuge with the Lord of Al-Falaq.'')(113:1) So he said it. And Jibril said to him, [Þõáú ÃóÚõæÐõ ÈöÑóÈøö ÇáäøóÇÓö ] (Say: "I seek refuge with the Lord of mankind.'') (114:1) So he said it. Therefore, we say what the Prophet said.'' (114:1)) This Hadith was recorded by Ahmad, At-Tirmidhi and An-Nasa'i. At-Tirmidhi said, "Hasan Sahih.'' Another Narration Imam Ahmad recorded from `Uqbah bin `Amir that he said, "While I was leading the Messenger of Allah along one of these paths he said, «íóÇ ÚõÞúÈóÉõ ÃóáóÇ ÊóÑúßóÈõ¿» (O `Uqbah! Will you not ride) I was afraid that this might be considered an act of disobedience. So the Messenger of Allah got down and I rode for a while. Then he rode. Then he said, «íóÇ ÚõÞúÈóÉõ¡ ÃóáóÇ ÃõÚóáøöãõßó ÓõæÑóÊóíúäö ãöäú ÎóíúÑö ÓõæÑóÊóíúäö ÞóÑóÃó ÈöåöãóÇ ÇáäøóÇÓõ¿» (O `Uqbah! Should I not teach you two Surahs that are of the best two Surahs that the people recite) I said, `Of course, O Messenger of Allah.' So he taught me to recite [Þõáú ÃóÚõæÐõ ÈöÑóÈøö ÇáúÝóáóÞö ] (Say: "I seek refuge with the Lord of Al-Falaq.'') (113:1) and [Þõáú ÃóÚõæÐõ ÈöÑóÈøö ÇáäøóÇÓö ] (Say: "I seek refuge with the Lord of mankind.'') (114:1) Then the call was given to begin the prayer and the Messenger of Allah went forward (to lead the people), and he recited them in the prayer. Afterwards he passed by me and said, «ßóíúÝó ÑóÃóíúÊó íóÇ ÚõÞóíúÈõ¡ ÇÞúÑóÃú ÈöåöãóÇ ßõáøóãóÇ äöãúÊó æóßõáøóãóÇ ÞõãúÊó» (What do you think, O `Uqayb Recite these two Surahs whenever you go to sleep and whenever you get up.)'' An-Nasa'i and Abu Dawud both recorded this Hadith. Another Hadith An-Nasa'i recorded that Ibn `Abis Al-Juhani said that the Prophet said to him, «íóÇ ÇÈúäó ÚóÇÈöÓò ÃóáóÇ ÃóÏõáøõßó Ãóæú ÃóáóÇ ÃõÎúÈöÑõßó ÈöÃóÝúÖóáö ãóÇ íóÊóÚóæøóÐõ Èöåö ÇáúãõÊóÚóæøöÐõæäó¿» (O Ibn `Abis! Shall I guide you to -- or inform you -- of the best thing that those who seek protection use for protection) He replied, "Of course, O Messenger of Allah!'' The Prophet said, «[Þõáú ÃóÚõæÐõ ÈöÑóÈøö ÇáúÝóáóÞö ] [Þõáú ÃóÚõæÐõ ÈöÑóÈøö ÇáäøóÇÓö ] åóÇÊóÇäö ÇáÓøõæÑóÊóÇäö» (Say: "I seek refuge with the Lord of Al-Falaq.'')( and (Say: "I seek refuge with the Lord of mankind.'')( These two Surahs (are the best protection).) Imam Malik recorded from `A'ishah that whenever the Messenger of Allah was suffering from an ailment, he would recite the Mu`awwidhatayn over himself and blow (over himself). Then if his pain became severe, `A'ishah said that she would recite the Mu`awwidhatayn over him and take his hand and wipe it over himself seeking the blessing of those Surahs. Al-Bukhari, Abu Dawud, An-Nasa'i and Ibn Majah all recorded this Hadith. It has been reported from Abu Sa`id that the Messenger of Allah used to seek protection against the evil eyes of the Jinns and mankind. But when the Mu`awwi- dhatayn were revea- led, he used them (for protection) and aban- doned all else besides them. At-Tirmidhi, An-Nasa'i and Ibn Majah recorded this. At-Tirmidhi said, "This Hadith is Hasan Sahih.'' [ÈöÓúãö Çááøóåö ÇáÑøóÍúãóÜäö ÇáÑøóÍöíãö] (In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. [Þõáú ÃóÚõæÐõ ÈöÑóÈø ÇáúÝóáóÞö- ãöä ÔóÑø ãóÇ ÎóáóÞó- æóãöä ÔóÑø ÛóÇÓöÞò ÅöÐóÇ æóÞóÈó- æóãöä ÔóÑø ÇáäøóÝøóÜËóÜÊö Ýöì ÇáúÚõÞóÏö- æóãöä ÔóÑø ÍóÇÓöÏò ÅöÐóÇ ÍóÓóÏó-] (1. Say: "I seek refuge with the Lord of Al-Falaq,'') (2. "From the evil of what He has created,'') (3. "And from the evil of the Ghasiq when Waqab,'') (4. "And from the evil of the blowers in knots,'') (5. "And from the evil of the envier when he envies.'') Ibn Abi Hatim recorded that Jabir said, "Al-Falaq is the morning.'' Al-`Awfi reported from Ibn `Abbas, "Al-Falaq is the morning.'' The same has been reported from Mujahid, Sa`id bin Jubayr, `Abdullah bin Muhammad bin `Aqil, Al-Hasan, Qatadah, Muhammad bin Ka`b Al-Qurazi and Ibn Zayd. The Christian belief about Jesus is that he is the only-begotten Son of God or God Himself, who died on the cross to save humans from Original Sin. Muslims hold that there is no such thing as Original Sin. So God had no reason to become a human and die on the cross. Even if there were something called Original Sin, Muslims do not see how God could be so helpless as to atone for that sin by dying on the cross. The Christians would answer: For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth on him should not perish, but have everlasting life (John 3:16). Did God really love the world so much
so much that He decided to sacrifice even His son, His only begotten son, to save the world from Original Sin? Christians would say, Yes. On the other hand, Muslims would insist in the first place, that God is One and One Only, and, therefore, He didnt have a son. Second, as God is Just, He would not punish the innocent to save
the sinners. Third, the so-called Original Sin cannot be such a problem for the Almighty God that He is compelled to sacrifice His own Son. He could very well cancel that sin or He could simply demand an atonement from the sinful or at least ask for sincere repentance from them. Indeed, there was no need for God to subject His Son to the terrible torture he is said to have undergone, as portrayed in Mel Gibsons The Passion of the Christ, for instance. In fact, there were early Christians who did not believe in the crucifixion of Jesus. For instance, the Basilidians believed that someone else was crucified in his place. The names of Simon of Cyrene and even Judas Iscariot are heard in this context. As for the Quran, it speaks of how Allah cleared Jesus of the disbelief of his people. It says what means:
*{[And remember] when Allah said: O Jesus! I will take you and raise you to Myself, and cleanse you of those who disbelieve; and I will make those who follow [you] superior to those who disbelieve until the Day of Resurrection. Then to me you will [all] return, and I will judge between you as to that wherein you used to differ. And as for those who disbelieve I will punish them with severe torment in this world and the Hereafter; and they will have no helpers.}* (Aal `Imran 3:55-56)
Thus, Allah raised Jesus up to Heaven, and so he was saved from an accursed death on the cross, in contrast to what his enemies and even his self-styled followers alleged. It was the plan of the enemies of Jesus to crucify him, but Allah foiled their plan. So to believe in his death by crucifixion means to believe that those unbelievers were successful against Gods plan. But assuredly they could not crucify Jesus the Messenger of Allah. The Quran says what means:
*{And their saying [is] we slew the Messiah, Jesus Son of Mary, Allahs messenger They slew him not nor crucified him, but it appeared so to them. And those who disagree concerning it are in doubt thereof; they have no knowledge thereof save pursuit of a conjecture. For of a surety they slew him not; but Allah took him up to Himself. Allah is Almighty [and] All-Wise. And there is none of the people of the Book [the Jews and Christians] but will believe in him before his death, and on the Day of Resurrection he will be a witness against them.}* (An-Nisaa 4:157-159)
We Muslims believe in all the prophets of God and honor and respect them alike; we do not make any distinction between one and another of them. Muslims believe Jesus Christ to be one of the great prophets of God and hold that all prophets are brothers and that their religion is the same, namely, Islam (or unconditional submission to Allah). Allah says in the Quran what means:
*{He [Allah] has ordained for you the same religion as that which He ordained to Noah, and that which We inspired in you [Muhammad], and that which We ordained to Abraham and Moses and Jesus, saying: Establish the religion, and make no divisions therein. To those who worship other things than Allah, dreadful is that to which you call them. Allah chooses for Himself whom He will, and guides to Himself him who turns [in repentance to Him].}* (Az-Zukhruf 42:13)

Twelve proofs of Prophet Muhammad's prophethood By Shaikh Abdur Rahman My brothers and sisters! With this essay, I am not singling out the adherents of Islam -- to which I ascribe -- but rather I am writing this essay to every man and woman throughout the whole world. I ask Allah that He facilitates that this essay reaches every ear, falls under the sight of every eye, and is understood by every heart. Hadhrat Muhammad (Sall Allaho alaihe wasallam), the son of Abdullah, is Allah's Prophet and the Final Messenger Sent by Allah to the inhabitants of earth. My brothers and sisters! You should know that the Messenger Muhammad (Sall Allaho alaihe wasallam) is Allah's Messenger in reality and truth. The evidences that show his veracity are abundant. None but an infidel, who out of arrogance alone, could deny these signs. Among these proofs are: 1. Prophet Muhammad (Sall Allaho alaihe wasallam) was raised illiterate, unable to read or write, and remained like that till his death. Among all his people, he was known as being truthful and trustworthy. Before receiving revelation, he had no prior knowledge of religion or any previously sent Message. He remained like that for his first forty years. Revelation then came to him with the Holy Qur'aan that we now have between our hands. This Qur'aan mentioned most of the accounts found in the previous scriptures, telling us about these events in the greatest detail as if he witnessed them. These accounts came precisely as they were found in the Torah sent down to Prophet Moses [Musa (Alaihis salaam)] and in the Gospel sent down to Prophet Jesus [Isa (Alaihis salaam)]. Neither the Jews nor the Christians were able to belie him regarding anything that he said. 2. Prophet Muhammad (Sall Allaho alaihe wasallam) also foretold of everything that would occur to him and his community after him, pertaining to victory, the removal of the tyrannical kingdoms of Chosroes [the royal title for the Zoroastrian kings of Persia] and Caesar, and the establishment of the religion of Islam throughout the earth. These events occurred exactly as he foretold, as if he was reading the future from an open book. 3. Prophet Muhammad (Sall Allaho alaihe wasallam) also brought the Holy Qur'aan in Arabic that is the peak of eloquence and clarity, and was revealed to him by Allah Almighty himself. The Holy Qur'aan challenged those eloquent and fluent Arabs of his time, who initially belied him, to bring forth a single chapter like the Qur'aan. The eloquent Arabs of his days were unable to contest this Qur'aan. Indeed, till our day, none has ever dared to claim that he has been able to compose words that equal -- or even approach -- the order, grace, beauty, and splendour of this Glorious Qur'aan. 4. The life history of this Noble Prophet (Muhammad) was a perfect example of being upright, merciful, compassionate, truthful, brave, generous, distant from all evil character, and ascetic in all worldly matters, while striving solely for the reward of the Hereafter. Moreover, in all his actions and dealings, he was ever mindful and fearful of Allah. 5. Allah instilled great love for Prophet Muhammad (Sall Allaho alaihe wasallam) in the hearts of all who believed in him and met him. This love reached such a degree that any of his companions would willingly sacrifice his (or her) self, mother or father for him. Till today, those who believe in his honour and love him, would ransom his own family and wealth to see him, even if but once. 6. All of history has not preserved the biography of any person in the manner it has preserved the life of Prophet Muhammad (Sall Allaho alaihe wasallam), who is the most influential human in history. Nor has the entire earth known of anyone whom every morning and evening, and many times thereafter throughout the day, is thought of by those who believe in him. Upon remembering him, the believers in him will greet him and ask Allah to bless him. They do such with full hearts and true love for him. 7. Nor has there ever been a man on earth whom is still followed in all his doings by those who believe in him. Those who believe in Prophet Muhammad (Sall Allaho alaihe wasallam) sleep in the manner he slept; purify themselves (through ablution and ritual washing) in the manner he purified himself; and adhere to his practice in the way they eat, drink, and clothe themselves. Indeed, in all aspects of their lives, his followers adhere to the teachings he spread among them and the path that he travelled upon during his life. During every generation -- from his day till our time -- the believers in this Noble Prophet have fully adhered to his teachings. With some, this has reached the degree that they desire to follow and adhere to the Prophet's way in his personal matters regarding which Allah has not sought of them to adhere to in worship. For example, some will only eat those specific foods or only wear those specific garments that the Messenger liked. Let alone all that, all those

But, we hope, they will soon be able to differentiate between facts,

Last Sunday, a brother raised alegitimate
question : "We have seen Ben Laden and other AlQaeda members admitting on
television thatthey carried out the attack. So, what is the point of this
documentary?"
Another asked: "In Saudi Arabia,those who
carried out terrorist acts claimed they were Al-Qaeda members - so, doesn't it
prove that Al-Qaeda is really behind all these terror attacks?"
We have good news for you! As you know, the
QA session doesn't give much time to answer all these questions in details
they deserve. So, if there are further questionsafter next Sunday's
documentary, we will post replies to all of them onthe website! We will
provide all the references, so that anyone who has any doubts can do his or her
own research and satisfy their intellectand curiosity.
What we are doing here is somewhat similar to
the injunctions the Holy Qur'an has laid down in conveying the message of Islam
(da'wah). We are asked to present the facts with wisdom and leave the results to
Allah swt.
While the US Administration has not provided any
proof that the planes were hijacked by 19 Arabs, and that they in fact carried
out the operations, the documentaries present scientific facts,and
engineering details which are easy to see. If a huge plane crashed at the
Pentagon, but made only a hole, it is logical to ask 'how come?'. It is also
logical to ask 'what happened to the wings, the landing gears, the dead bodies,
the luggage?' and so on.Then, if it turns out that it was not a Boeing 757
which crashedon the Pentagon, buta Skyhawk, or a missile, then it is
clear thatAl-Qaedacouldn't have launched them (the Skyhawk or the
missile). So, who were behind this atrocity?
While the previous documentary dealt
mostly with the Pentagon, this Sunday's documentary will focus on the WTC
towers. There are amazing facts which you will come to know. Don't think
"I have already seen it! - may be it will be similar". In fact, it is quite
different -it will leave you breathless.

As he bounds into the room dressed in jeans and a black T-shirt, he looks strikingly like a slightly older version of the gentle singer-songwriter we used to know as Cat Stevens. And yet, in September last year he was escorted off a flight from London to Washington and grilled by the FBI, which then deported him as a security threat. Since then, he has been wrongly accused of supporting terrorist groups by the Sunday Times and the Sun, who were last month forced to pay damages. "Ever since I became a Muslim, I've had to deal with attempts to damage my reputation and countless insinuations seeking to cast doubt on my character and trying to connect me to causes which I do not subscribe to," he grumbled after the out-of-court settlement. The newspapers apologised, but there has been no contrition or apology on the part of the US government. "They still haven't even given me a satisfactory explanation," he says with a shake of his beard. He was on his way to Nashville to discuss "musical ideas" with a record company when he was refused entry and he would like to return. "But I'm not begging to go back until they sort it out and give me an apology. It's scary how wrong they can get it." Then, with more emollience, he adds: "But all things can be forgiven if we can progress." For fans clinging to memories of Cat Stevens, perhaps the most remarkable thing about this story is that it hinges on "musical ideas". For more than 20 years, Yusuf Islam and Cat Stevens have been estranged. He didn't just stop making records after releasing his 1978 album Back to Earth: he sold his guitars, disowned his past and became the most zealous of converts. It was as if he was trying to deny Cat Stevens had ever existed. Yusuf and Cat first cautiously shook hands in 1999, when for the first time since his "retirement", he endorsed a new collection of his greatest hits. Since then it's been a step-by-step process back to full musical health. Shortly after 9/11, he sang an a cappella version of Peace Train by video link to the charity concert in New York for the victims. It was the first time he had performed a Cat Stevens song in public in almost a quarter of a century. Then he penned some affectionate liner notes for a box set of his old songs. Further charity performances followed for Bosnian refugees and Nelson Mandela's Aids charity. Late last year he appeared on stage with a guitar for the first time since the 1970s at a Darfur benefit. There was also a re-recording with Ronan Keating of his classic Father Son. And now, at last, there is a new single: Indian Ocean, the first song he has composed since he retired from music in 1978. A six-minute epic inspired by the tsunami tragedy, it boasts all the melodic facility of old and the yearning of his voice remains unmistakable. It was released this week as a download only; one of a batch of new songs, if it's well received, an album will follow. Even so, he is reluctant to talk in terms of a comeback. "No, it's not the return of Cat Stevens," he laughs. "But I've re-examined my past body of work and you can call it a rejuvenation. It's a natural _expression_ of my concern as a Muslim and as an artist. I believe both can exist side by side, particularly when the cause is right." We meet in a south London studio where he's rehearsing a semi-autobiographical musical called Moonshadow, based on the songs that in his 1970s heyday provided the soundtrack to broken hearts in bedsits across the land. It's immediately evident that something has changed in him. Although the beard is still worn mullah-length, he looks younger without the Islamic garb we have grown accustomed to seeing. His demeanour is different, too: his eyes twinkle and his conversation is regularly punctuated with laughter. As one of his colleagues says, he has learned to "lighten up". And with that has come a return to music. "I don't think I ever actually said music was blasphemous. But I needed that break. I had to get away from the business because I didn't want it to divert me from my chosen path. I found what I was looking for and the Koran gave me the answer to the big questions in life. It would have been hypocritical to go on as before and be a phoney imitation of myself. But I never said I'd never make music again. It was just that there were a lot of other things I had to get on with in my life." Born Steven Dimitri Georgiou to a Greek restaurateur and a Swedish mother in 1947, he grew up in London's West End and went to a Roman Catholic school in Drury Lane. Most of us celebrate April fool day every year and fool each other. But how many of us know the bitter facts hidden behind it. It was around a thousand years ago that Spain was ruled by Muslims. And the Muslim power in Spain was so strong that it couldn't be destroyed. The Christians of the west wished to wipe out Islam from all parts of the world and they did succeed to quite an extent. But when they tried to eliminate Islam in Spain and conquer it, they failed. They tried several times but never succeeded. The unbelievers then sent their spies in Spain to study the Muslims there and find out what was the power they possessed and they found that their power was TAQWA . The Muslims of Spain were not just Muslims but they were practicing Muslims. They not only read the Quran but also acted upon it. When the Christians found the power of the Muslims they started thinking of strategies to break this power. So they
started sending alcohol and cigarettes to Spain free of cost. This technique of the west worked out and it started weakening the faith of the Muslims in particular the young generation of Spain.
The result was that the Catholics of the west wiped out Islam and conquered the entire Spain bringing an end to the EIGHT HUNDRED LONG YEARS' RULE OF THE MUSLIMS in Spain. The last fort of the Muslims to fall was Grenada (Gharnatah), which was on the 1st of April. From that year onwards, every year they celebrate April fools day on the 1st of April, celebrating the day, they made a fool of the Muslims. They did not make a fool of the Muslim army at Gharnatah only, but of the whole Muslim Ummah.
We, the Muslims, were fooled by the unbelievers. They have a reason to celebrate April fool day, to keep up the spirit. Dear brothers and sisters, when we join in this celebration, we do so out of ignorance. If we had known about it, we would never have celebrated our own downfall. So now, that we are aware of it, and now let us promise that we shall never celebrate this day. We should learn our lesson from the people of Spain, and shall try to become practicing Muslims, never to let anybody weaken our faith.
Please forward this message to as many people you know. The more people you forward it to the greater will be the reward from your Lord in this world and the hereafter. Please try to do it before the 1st of April, to create awareness that WE ARE NOT FOOLS ANYMORE.
